cheers mate. got close to the floor, and shooting with a 17-40mm lens. They're an L series from Canon, and just amazing. I shoot with it more than anything else.

For those interested, it was a 15mm fisheye for the smelter photos, and also for the fisheye photos (hence it appearing that they're falling 'up')

custom.. i do it the slow way. I select all, stroke the selection to the thickness i want, then fill it with the dotty backlground, then contract it one and fill it with the black.

simple n effective ;)

Goose 10-05-2004 04:41 PM

Damn mate, you have some great photographer skills.
I like these pics a lot, did you photoshop it a lot?

TweetyBird 10-05-2004 05:14 PM

I just tried that effect but didn't make it. I stoked a picture and then I filled it in a new layer with a dotty pattern, but how do I get that behind the picture or is that already wrong?

No photoshop at all.. scanned straight off the film :)

RE: the border, i might have missed a step. Here goes from top to bottom

make a new layer.
select all
edit stroke to desired width.
hold control, click on the layer.
fill with spotty pattern.
select > modify > contract by 1
fill with black.

That should do you :)
