I've seen sites just linking to dozens of emx's static .wmv urls. Bypasses the php and seems to work well. Not a great money-maker that way but it's great for surfers! :)

There are MANY pre-made materials in there, stick to the ones made by EMX, we delete the messed up ones constantly that webmasters create and don't do correctly, as evidenced in the above ones, this program is not in beta this is merely a case of other webmasters creating bad promo material. Everything made by EMX works correctly.

So I guess here's an interesting question, should we even let webmasters create public materials? When we let them create materials for the public you end up with broken promo materials like this if they don't use the builder correctly, everything could just be classified as a private material and then wm's would never see any broken ones.

Yes sadly we want to provide a wide range of promo material, if idiots are going to do this we'll find a way around it.

Look at who it's created by, all of the ones made by us say Created by EMX

you should DEFINATELY seperate the ones who are made by EMX and those made by random idiots

I would even suggest you don't make promo material made by others accessible from other accounts. Because if you DO you will only create wrong impressions like I got when creating this topic . :2 cents:

In the search results *after* you get the list of materials, it will say who made the material. If it's not "emx", then check it out before you send traffic to it (wouldn't you anyway?).

Toolz, I'd suggest that if a webmaster makes material and clicks it to be Public that you set it into a Pending status and do a quick review (maybe duplicate it into a pending folder).
Go ahead and add it to the creating webmasters "My Materials" perhaps, but leave it off the public list until you give it an OK.

Easy enough, also I think we'll switch it up so all the EMX stuff is displayed first and then you'll have the option to view stuff made by other webmasters.

Also...if you attempt to download and modify the galleries, the tables get TOTALLY fucked up and they're unuseable.

True, on the other hand the discussion is useful for other webmasters, now a lot of people know to check the gallery creators and such.

This is very misleading.

Besides my first attempt, I've had no problem creating public or private promo with EMX. But there have been times when I get a page full of PHP errors instead of the gallery I wanted. I received an explanation why those galleries crapped out on your message board.

Calling affiliates "idiots" is not cool, particularly when you don't know what's going to pop out when you create a gallery.
