just arrived. i can't sleep lying down, so figured i'd get one of these things to crash/work in. very comfortable so far. never owned one before :)

i'm in it right now, and not planning on getting out any time soon (too weak). i'll try to find it online maybe...

La-z-boys are deathly unfashionable, compared to more minimalist designer furniture, but goddamn are they comfortable. I got two of the heating vibramatic lumbar-balloon-thingy chairs a couple years ago, and they're awesome. No fridge in the arm, I think that's a little *too* lazy, even for me. :)

Bummer you can't sleep horizontally, but cool that you got a good chair. Have you considered a bad that can fold up? My uncle couldn't sleep flat for a while and got a Tempur-Pedic (expensive foam) mattress with remote control head & knee raisers, plus minor vibration massage. I slept on it a couple times and it was pretty nice, made me a bit too warm but it's a nice mattress.

It's amazing how little they've changed since my Dad bought one in the 60's :) When my parents got divorced, it was one of the few pieces of furniture my mother allowed him to take - mostly because she always hated it. :thumbsup

i'd fall asleep every hour if i "worked" while
