WINNER: crockett THREAD: http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...hreadid=366157 POST: 1) If you are going to do a thumb page use at least 90x120 thumbs and use a lot more than what you have. There are just not enough 88x88 sites around to trade with and it's a outdated thumb size IMO. (for a new site at least) Then to top this off you are trying to do text and Thumbs and it just is not working with your design. 2) You just have way too many links all over the place, adds and so on.. stick to galleries for now. You are trying to build a skimmed TGP, You don't want to have a bunch of links all over the site that don't go to either a gallery or a trade. Right now trades should be your biggest focus. Because you won't make crap until you have traffic. 3) Shemp is right 50% is crap. 70% IMO is the sweet spot for a skimmed site. You may send more traffic out to trades with 50% skim but the traffic is crap. Skim 70% and only trade with sites that skim 70% and up. Your traffic will be 10 times better and your trades will like you more. Using the above advice I set this site up yesterday, and it's trade productivey is 3.95% coming from my own TGPs. (the skim is at 65% just to get it started) http://www.pornforlovers.com/main.html I've had this site sitting around for quite some time doing nothing with it, the site was only about 50 hits a day. I went live with that set up yesterday and haven't fed it any traffic at all. I moved the few trades it allready had to the new page and it's at 250 hits today. Now that's nothing I mean whoopy 250 hits, but the thing is it grew by 250% in less than 24 hours so that tells me the site is productive and it should do well once I start sending it traffic. BTW that's the most design I've ever had on a site, I typically stick to very, very simple designs. Surfers are there to see porn not flashy designs. |

WINNER: Shoplifter THREAD: http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...postid=5460924 POST: TGP info Firstly, unless you are making a living as an affiliate don't expect having a TGP to make things any better. As much as it is about traffic it is even more about selling the right thing. A TGP loaded up with 2000 hosted galleries is probably loaded full of crap. I use my TGP's to sell my own sites, and I fill it out with some of the better hosted galleries. Sales to my own sites galleries are waaaay higher than the shaved up hosted galleries. Secondly the productivity you will see from purchased traffic is very low, often less than 20%. That means for every 100k uniques purchased only 20k will actually click on something. Take that into consideration in your calculations. The last issue is actually managing traffic. It is very difficult to find anyone of consequence who will trade with you. In my case I get a lot of guys adding trades, but most of them can't even send a 100 hit minimum in 24 hours and the trade script just drops them off. The guys who have real traffic will have to be schmoozed for a trade. |

WINNER: taboo_dude THREAD: "Mastering Google AdWords" http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...43#post5487143 POST: "While it is true that google gives more exposure to the higher ctr ads, it is up to you to get your ctr ratio higher. 1. Use fewer adwords, take your top ten adwords and start from there. 2. Once you have the ten you want to focus on, work on your creative for those ads. For example, your currently top performer could be Adword: "adword optimization" Your current ad: " TurboFace.com The best place on the net to get expert advice on Google adwords" It is resulting in 2000 impressions a day, with a CTR ratio of 1%, with a roi of 25% Now take that same ad and work with it for better results. same adword: "adword optimization" Your changed ad: " TurboFace.com 2 years experience in optimizing google adword campaigns. 1 Week FREE in consulting." This time the adword results in the same 2000 impressions but the ctr jumps up to 3% thus resulting in a higher number of impressions in the future. Not to mention increasing your roi. That is first thing you should do. The next should be to use Dynamic title placement as well as geotargeting. I would explain the last two but I need to get back to work. Good luck" |

DATE: 9/20/2004 WINNER: XXXdwarf THREAD: "Creating a succesfull AVS site" http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...postid=5498367 POST: How to build a successful AVS-site? Generally you can distinguish two types of AVS. 1. The ones that offer a free pass to the AVS network in combination with a trial to paysite for a small fee. They will pay you per signup. Non recurring. A good one, that has high payouts, and one I can certainly recommend, is: Sex Pictures Pass 2. The ones that offer a recurring membership to the AVS network, often around $30. They will pay you a recurring %. A good example here is: Adultbouncer The last option has distinct disadvantages. First of all, your site must have a very good, professional looking, design that justifies the high signup fee for the surfer. Second, you must update regularly to retain the memberships. Some may argue that retention is higher because of the abundance of porn in the AVS network itself. However, my experience is different. The surfer signs up for your site firstly. And if you don?t update they will stop being a member. Also because of the fact that the through the AVS network supplied content is recycled over and over again. Taking that all in consideration, I personally think that the first option is the better one? So, lets start creating our site, shall we? Pick a niche you are comfortable with. This seriously is very important. Don?t just start a teen site because everyone is doing it. What kind of porn makes you tick? Pick it! You are a expert on that niche and you know best what to show the surfers to make them go wild! Now go looking for good content. There are a lot of content providers around. If you are to lazy to look them up, you can just start a thread and ask them to spam you on any board. They would be more then happy to. :Graucho :Graucho Some of them have good package deals others may give you discount if you order certain sets or amounts. Choose carefully, it?s your money, and it is supposed to make you money later? Obviously, to start a site you will need hosting and a domain name as well, but because of the chance that this tutorial would become to elaborate, I will not get into that further. Any questions about these topics could be answered with a good search on the boards. Now that you have the content, you can start building your site! Remember, your biggest aim is to get the surfer to sign up. (Really, keep it in mind while creating the site!) A key factor in this process is trust. The surfer must trust that the site delivers what they say. That the site has the content the surfer is looking for. What works for me is opening up the members section as a preview. I have nothing to hide. The surfer can access an exact copy of the members section, complete with all the galleries with thumbnails and all. The first couple of thumbnails can lead to pics. However, every other pic and movie leads to a signup page. Another factor is sales pitch. Make full use of the advantages of the AVS system: ?You can see this all with your FREE lifetime membership!!? and ?Gain access to this site and hundreds of others with just one pass!? Etc. Etc. You get the point? :) From my experience, a great looking site is not needed. Just pick some nice complementing colours and keep it simple and ?important- easy to navigate. The fact that the site doesn?t look too slick can actually benefit to the trust factor. It can make the surfer think that the site is built by one of them? This should be enough to make the surfer horny, make him trust your site and should make him think: ?What the hack, it?ll cost me near to nothing.. Why not?!? He will get his credit card and sign up.. :D But how do we get the surfers to visit your site? Like most subscription (and other) sites in this business, also AVS sites get most of their traffic through galleries. You will have to build them. If you own free sites or TGP?s yourself, you can list them on it. But most people will have to get them listed somewhere else. But don?t be affraid! Building galleries isn?t actually that hard. Most of the galleries that get listed on the TGP?s have a simple layout and are straight HTML. Take a good look at the galleries that are listed on some big TGP's. And learn from it! Often, content is they key factor here. Now, you already have the great content that you?ve bought to fill up you members section! You can use that for your galleries as well. No extra expenses here. If you really feel you can?t build it, or you are just too lazy, you can order a gallery template for only $20* here: Adultdesign.biz (*That the price the last time I checked) There are plenty of good tutorials around about submitting and creating galleries. Like this one Read them and educate yourself. Don?t think it?s too hard, because it isn?t, just start working straight away. You will never learn more by reading then by personal experience. Don?t expect to be listed by the big sites straight away. Remember, a lot of traffic coming from a lot of smaller sites is still a lot of traffic! And often of better quality. There are also other ways to get traffic to your site. Such as search engine submission, banner exchanges and AVS lists. But these have either little traffic to offer (banner exchange and AVS lists) or are quite complicated and a more long-term concern (search engine submission). So don?t expect too much of these. Last but not least: the members section and upsells This is a part that a lot of people easily forget. But it can become a really important part of your site and your income. The idea is quite simple. Since all of the surfers visiting your members section have gone through the signup process and have pulled out their credit card to do so, you know that all of these surfers have a credit card AND are not afraid to use it online to buy a subscription. And, and this is the best part, you know in what niche they are interested! These surfers are highly valuable. Make use of them! You are not going to let them just stroll around your members section, are you? That would be just plain stupid. No, what you are going to do is getting them to sign up to another subscription porn site in your niche? So go around and find the quality porn sites that cater your niche. Sign up for their affiliate programs and try and promote them to your members. Selling (trial) memberships to my members accumulates to about 13-18% of the total income! It?s definitely worth it! To summarise: ?Why should I get into AVS?? Because you control everything!!! 1. You?ve built the galleries and will get the surfer to your site! 2. You?ve built the site so can get the surfer to sign up! 3. And it doesn?t stop there! You can even get the newly acquired members to sign up to other sites in your members section! You will never lose control over the traffic and can tweak everything to your advantage this way and create a site that works for you! I'd say, make use of that great advantage!!! Give it a try! Start by signing up with a good AVS right now! |

WINNER: arg THREAD: "How can i know the value of any domain name?" http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...adid=368298&s= POST: Scange, there's no formula, there are lots of factors that people consider. In general, domains with type-in traffic are worth more, domains with no legal risks are worth more, domains that relate to higher-profit-margin sales/services are worth more, memorable short domains are worth more than longer complex ones (usually a factor in its type-in traffic anyway), .com > .net > .org > .info > .cx (again already reflected in type-in traffic). And generally don't trust domain valuations from places like Afternic. |
Fuckin kudos for this idea! This not only gives webmasters a great resource of ideas to work with, but it also contributes something positive to a forum that often gets bogged down in negative drama and mudslinging. :2 cents:

WINNER: AdultNex THREAD: "Beginner's Guide to Hosting/Domains - Pt. 1 " http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...hreadid=369640 POST: Domain names: Before starting anywhere, a domain name is a prerequisite to becoming a webmaster. Ditch the free hosting, free .tk domain extension, and the free subdomain hosting your Uncle Johnny provided you. No matter what niche you plan to dive into, it's important to register a short and memorable name for your domain name. Obtaining a generic domain name (i.e. www.xxx-porn.com) works well for search engines, because the keyword in your URL is one of the factors that search engines decide where you are on the search engine results. Avoid the search engine spammer shadow of registering a domain name like: www.xxx-porn-adult-sex-video-and-pics-porno.com. However, the downside to generic domain names are that they are just plain vanilla-- meaning there is no branding. After all, just look at the top adult web properties (TheHun, WorldSex, Persian Kitty, etc.). Branding your domain name adds a memorable and personal touch. You're probably now asking... Where's the best place to purchase domain names? I, personally, opt for the $8.88 domain name registrations at www.NameCheap.com. They have excellent support and a good interface for managing domains. If you want bottom-line, cheap domain names, go for the $6.49 domain registrations at www.ev1servers.net. There is no catch, unless you consider the clunky domain control panel to be one. Other good, solid domain registrars are www.RegisterFly.com ($9.99) and www.DirectNic.com ($15.00). Hosting: After obtaining your domain name, your next step is to obtain a hosting service. The type of hosting you will need will depend on what you plan on doing (TGP gallery submitting, MGP gallery submitting, running a TGP, etc.). I would avoid virtual/shared hosting packages, because the limit of bandwidth that most hosting providers provide you with is too minimal to be used for a successful adult webmaster. Virtual/shared hosting packages are to be used for Aunt Wilma's online photo album website, not successful adult sites. I would suggest going big and landing your hands on a dedicated server. Nowadays, dedicated servers are very cheap, ranging from $100 for a decent Celeron or low-end Pentium 4 to $300+ for high-bandwith dual Xeon servers. Now where to get a dedicated server? You can browse around GFY using the search feature for adult web hosting providers. However, I find that almost all adult web hosting providers are much more higher than mainstream providers, obviously because of the bandwidth use (mainstream web hosting providers oversell their bandwidth, because the majority of their customers don't use up the 1000GB or so bandwidth that they are given). On the other hand, it is hard to oversell in the adult web hosting industry, because large images and movie files make up the majority of the online adult industry. If you're on a short-stack, I would recommend checking out Webhostingtalk's Dedicated Offers forum (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forum....php?forumid=36). The competition is fierce among mainstream web hosting companies, so more often than not, you're bound to find a good dedicated hosting deal. For example, just recently, there was an Athlon 2400+ coupled with 1GB RAM that can service 1000GB/month for just $119/month. Not only that, but the server is fully managed and located in a stable and prominent data center. It's recommended that you research the web hosting company before making a purchase, there are quite a few people who focus on getting clients with their "too-hot-to-pass-up" hosting deals, and just plop you on a Cogent server with no customer support. If you don't know your way around a server, it's best that you either hire a server administrator or go with a "fully managed" server deal. Most of the time, you'll have to pay a premium price if you go the "fully managed" route. So your best bet will be to hire a server administrator to baby-sit your server, upgrade the kernel, install 3rd-party software, server hardening, etc. An excellent and very reasonably priced server administration service is www.LogicSupport.com ($39.95/month/server). If you already know how to manage your server but don't have the technical know how on server hardening, www.Rack911.com are very experienced people when it comes to basic to advanced server hardening. |

WINNER: WarChild THREAD: "Any of you use a laptop as your main computer?" http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...postid=5534262 POST: Here are some things to consider: 1) Video editing (processing) is highly processor intensive. The faster your processor and bus, the faster you will have your finished product. Faster chips are cheaper for your desktop than for a laptop. You can always upgrade your motherboard to handle the next generation of chips. Not so on a laptop. 2) Laptops don't last forever. Ask anybody who's used one extensively. Eventually it will die. When it does (usually right after warranty exprires) many problems will be too expensive to fix. You'll end up buying another laptop. In the long run, I think you will spend more money and be frustrated with your results. Keep a desktop machine. |

WINNER: FightThisPatent THREAD: "About the XPays patent" http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...postid=5565937 POST: If you were doing business (and had documentation), and someone after you got a patent that describes what you do or what your business was going to evolve/grow into, you would not have to pay them patent royalties, since you would be a prior inventor. Most people don't publish their business, they innovate and make money... you may have business plans that talk about growing beyond the affiliate program... while documenation like a business plan that could describe the "virtual affilaite" system is NOT prior art, it can be documentation to prove the company as a "prior inventor". Burden of proof is on the company to prove that it was documented.. but that's usually the way small companies get out from a patent that covers what they do that was issued after them. I know of a company that has a business plan from 20 years ago that talks about selling digital audio/video electronically.. this company's business plan (with the dust blown off), would be excempt from Acacia, but they would not be prior art to knock out the patent, because it was not published. Patent Law has alot of angles to it, and I don't give the complexity of the issue justice by oversimplifying it, but atleast to convey what i have learned about this very tricky subject in the last year. When patents popup, years after they were issued, like Acacia, they are refered as "submarine patents".. where they sit quiet, waiting for the world to use the "invention", and then spring up. Unisys did this with their enforcement of the GIF image file format a few years before the patent expired.... when everyone was using GIF. |

WINNER: choker THREAD: "Advice for all these new webcam sites" http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...postid=5581636 POST: It seems many guys are making thier own webcam sites, everyday I get at least 2 new ones wanting to buy traffic. Sending traffic directly to the front page is IMO a waste. Send the traffic to a results page that shows the models online. If you don't have enough models online, talk to someone like Lars who does have them, see if you can iframe the results page of one of his searches. Of course with your affiliate urls. This way you can put his models below yours so the surfer has a good choice. When you get enough models then drop the iframe. |

WINNER: Phil21 THREAD: "Fed Ex, UPS, or USPS for your business' shipping needs??" http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...57#post5586757 POST: If your process is automated (i.e. you just have some monkeys slap shipping labels on boxes and they sit by the dock waiting for $whomever to pick it up) go USPS. You can get some good deals, and they tend to be the most consistantly reliable shipper I've ever used (and we ship quite a bunch of crap around the country). However, they are not good at "custom" in terms of varying pickup times, some days you have stuff, some days not, etc. You can also get "pretty good" tracking w/ USPS. Otherwise use Fedex, which is more expensive and has other problems but we use them a lot. They deal MUCH better which "custom" stuff, custom pickups, last minute shipments, etc. Their tracking is the best by far of all the companies, but their drivers can be lazy assholes. Luck of the draw on the latter though. UPS I stopped even considering after their drivers did "drive by's" here a couple times. Meaning they SAY they attempted to deliver a package, but never happened to you know.. show up at the door, or leave a note, or anything. After 3 or 4 times of that happening we simply said fuck 'em. |

EG - a decent looking amateur who interacts (cam, chats, etc) and has the personality to back it up is your best guarantee of retention from the content end. Amateur site members are very demanding in this regard, and will be put off by bland personality/lack of interaction, unless the girl involved is very hot indeed, particularly in a niche (busty, teen, etc). The hubby will need to learn promotion skills. There's just no way around it. Forget Field of Dreams. If you build it, they will not come. You have to drive them there. |

WINNER: missnat THREAD: "how to make $ at shemale niche" http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...04#post5597504 POST: Many of you guys, I know, are very good at general TGP traffic and can build huge sites in a few days, I would like you to think of another niche to target, In my time as an adult webmaster ( on an forth since -98) I have learned that: the so called "straight" surfer that wanks to babes and the ordinary porn pics are a very good target regarding the shemale niche, for a example: most of us think in way if shemale=gay and most of us stay away of that niche therefore, but in my research gay traffic clicks only 60% on shemale links, "straight" traffic clicks 170% on the same shemale links and compare that to to Shemale traffic that clicks 220% Regarding click to signups you can ask any tranny webmaster how he converts, and they will likely say 1:100 on textlink 1:300 on FHGs, and if they dont, they havent optimized and ditched the ones that dont convert what I want to say with this is that anyone can make a decent buck in shemle niche, with just pumping your existing "straight" traffic in. Shemale Niche is growing pretty fast these days, I have seen sites climb very fast the recent months. And all the time sponsors launch new fresh sites, free hosted galleries, content and so on. You can now easily build your shemale site with only hosted galleries, rotate them on your site, build up some trades with your existing "straight" traffic, and you have a decent new income There are ofcourse quite a few sponsors that dont convert, I believe its because they dont really know the niche, they just put up a shemale site and hope that will do, it wont. You have to know your costumers, what makes a ts lover horny? Its sad to say that these sites often come from big sponsors in the industry, the ones that have numerous sites to promote. So go for the small ones that are dedicated to their sites and the niche. Many of these are CCBILL sponsors. as a well respected sponsor puts it: "Transsexual content appeals to everybody from "straight" guys that have a kinky side, bisexual females that drool at that thought of making love to a girl with a cock, to guys sitting around drinking beer that want to be shocked and amazed by "chicks-with-dicks!" The market for Shemale content is extremely broad" as I said before and say it again: feed your shemale site with gay traffic = bad click% feed your gay site with shemale traffic = even worse click% feed your shemale site with teen traffic = nice click% Thats one of the reasons the shemale niche is easy to get in to, you dont need to buy or build up lots of niche specific traffic. Iggys posts about makin money on freesites made me a while ago do a lot of tests with shemale freesites. I must say my conclusion is FANTASTIC, freesite traffic converts awesome with shemale niche, a few weeks of freesite building made my bills (maybe I should post this a s a thanks on his thread instead of here) but here we have another good example of how converting this niche could be Most of us know that if you come by good shemale content, build a few galleries, that every BIG tgp will list it gladly, cause as some stated earlier in this thread: good shemale content can be hard to find. Think of that problem as a Shemale surfer instead, when he once sees new content he goes mad, almost, anyways, he is most probably eager to signup in the hope of seeing more, so the lack of "free" content is a benefit here. And suddenly we have another reason why this niche converts well: the bookmarkers that are already in, are lacking of free content! So to all the Shemale paysite owners I want to say: GET NEW! EXCLUSIVE! CONTENT, and please UPDATE! and you will see you signups go sky high! Yes I build Tranny TGPs for my clients and one of the main reasons are that I believe this niche is very progressive in terms of traffic, If I believed otherwise I would probably keep my mouth shut and just collect what there is, this will ofcourse benefit all of us thats already in, so my saying to you that are not in already is: GET IN! |
Halcyon its great what you are doing but wouldn't it be easier to just archive the posts on your site. It would be easier to keep track of and to reference

Shit, even some top porn companies still do not give a fuck about lighting. XL2 is great if you want to shoot 16:9 but if you are staying in 4:3 (best for most porn) then go with the DVX100A if you want to shoot in 24p or 30p. No prosumer camcorder other than the XL2 matches or beats the picture quality. Otherwise, the VX2100 is best for most guys since it is the low light king (needed for morons who don't use lights). That said, I am getting the XL2 next month :) |

WINNER: scoreman THREAD: "Interesting email from Ibill" http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...06#post5650206 POST: The good news on this is that iBill will be able to run domestic Visa rebills with this system. That should mean that USA webmasters can be paid something soon. Having a solution to bill Visa for USA webmasters also means that iBill has better chances of getting short term funding. No one would lend them money since they were not even able to complete a Visa transaction, and even with this system in place it remains to be seen whether they still will be unable to get short term funding. It would appear that without some sort of funding to make up for the 8 figure amount held by First Data, iBill will continue to have to play that game of paying clients with the most current billing receipts. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that what is owed is far more than what they are now billing since so many clients have bailed out, so without some sort of cash injection getting caught up will be difficult. The bad news I see with this is that Visa will be less than thrilled to see iBill back dooring the Visa transactions. iBill would respond of course that this is all legitimate and not against the rules, but at the end of the day Visa went through great efforts to establish parameters on how adult transactions are handled in the United States and iBill is playing near the outer boundaries of the rules rather than squarely within. That cant make Visa USA all warm and fuzzy when they think of iBill, which in turn cannot be seen as anything but a bad thing. |
