Got a big problem...
I have a Wired Plastic card, and my son's survivor's benefits are direct deposited into it just a few days before my electric bill is due, so I usually use part of it to pay the bill with my card. Well, apparently, my husband lost the card...he had it because our phone was out last month and he had to call in the payment from a friend's. So, I send an email to their customer service department. No answer. Since then I've sent two more emails, and tried to call. I don't have LD on my phone, so I call the toll free line, and you have two choices, 1 if you have a card, and 2 if not.....even if you press 2 it asks for a card number,(:eek7), so, since I do happen to know the card number, I go ahead and punch it in....then it tells me I'm being forwarded to a rep, then gives me the biz hours, and the, even if it is biz hours, tells me to call the damn LD number!
So, I tried to make a paypal payment to my husband's paypal account, hoping I can get someone to do an epassport/paypal swap for me so I can at least make my electric payment over the phone (since you need the CVVN or whatever it is, I can't just use the number I have for the WP card) and buy some groceries online if need be, but the card is declined...so apparently, based on that and the phone line that doesn't give me info on my account when I punch in the number, I'm guessing they did receive my email and cancelled the old card. I have no clue if a new one is on it's way or what, and my bill has to be paid by 5pm tomorrow. We only have one car and my husband takes it to work, so I can't even go to a friend's house to call the LD number until after he's home from work, and it won't be biz hours by then. What the heck should I do? I'll tell you what, I will not be using them in the future...as soon as I get this straightened out, I'm going back to Netspend....I never had a problem with them. So much for customer service.
