i'm guessing you're married to a Brit... Every Brit I know says they can't understand why anyone would ever want to live there....

I'm not knocking it, I like it too, but not to live.

Yes I married a Brit but if something happened to him I would fight to stay here because it is my home now. I live in the London area and London has well and truly found its way under my skin. I like the liberal vibe here, the ability to get and keep a world perspective, the country is beautiful, you are never far from the sea and I can access mainland Europe for day trips. I can go eat lunch in France if I want - I find that very cool. British people have a a wonderful balance of taking things seriously but having a real sense of whimsy.

I am not in anyway saying it is better than anywhere else but for me it is great. British people always put themselves down it is part of their national characteristics so they are always going to wonder outloud why anyone would want to move here but try putting the country down in any serious way and see what happens.

yeah i like living in the uk too, not that ive ever lived anywhere else.....

I moved from London 9 years ago and the only thing i miss is a good Curry and warm beer. If i ever find a good Curry here in San Diego i will die a happy man.

When I moved from London, I was shitting myself that there wouldnt be any good curry houses in the area, but luckily there are 2.

Yep, but not for much longer.

I dont mind london, there are just other places I would rather live.. and am working towards it.
