Juicy,

End the misery and just get a Mac already. Will be smooth sailing!

Back when I formated my drive and upgraded to XP there was an XP installer program I downloaded that fit on a floppy (I think it was only 1 floppy).

Look for XP fresh install boot disc. You may be able to burn that to a CD.

Do you have an earlier windows boot disc? You can use that to get into DOS with CD drive access. Then possibly browse the XP CD for the install.exe

mardigras 10-03-2004 11:44 AM

Actually, if you can get into dos I think you should be able to switch to your CD drive (probably D) then type in
D:\install.exe

If it's a standard XP cd you probably just hit up the wrong install file.

Try dir *.exe and look for the other executables.

If you have a start up floppy with the correct cd-rom drivers you've got it made :thumbsup
