Right you lot listen up.. If theres one thing that annoys us here its the fact americans always say 'england' That is not our country! Our country is called Great Britain and consists of:
Wales
England
Northern Ireland
Scotland

They are not all England :glugglug

Right now thats clear.. refer to it as Britain OR the UK

Teeth are getting better though...especially in London. I am lucky to have American teeth. If people could get NHS dentists they would be even better.

from what I gather they are a rural legand too.


Though, it really isn't that costly here at all. I pay for the dentist and I needed two fillings and everyone was going mad telling me it would cost so much and I was prepared to have to take out a loan or something. When I got to the desk it was £50.

I am English first & British second.

I live in England not Great Britain. And I dont feel were a particularly United Kingdom anymore

I used to live in England and am a bona fide cockney.

Well would of been born within the sound of Bow Bells if the Germans had not of bombed it during the war.

Yeah but so many say England when they mean Scotland or Wales or don't even realise they are under the same (but different..lol) grouping.

hrm and if you're from Wales I'm guessing you can play for the England cricket team. What's that about.

Another one I like is how people think Ireland is part of Britain.

That's almost like asking why Europe has several dozen :)

I'm happy enough to be English first, British second and European third and thought of as being English.

I believe the correct name is "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Crown Colonies and Protectorates".

I just read an article in Parade, that's where all of the USA's redneck's came from.

they settled in parts of Pennsylvania, West Virgina, Kentucky, Virgina, N. and S. Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, California (Bakersfield mainly).

Im happy to have moved out of London except for leaving my cable & ADSL internet connections behind.

Our house is one of two 'white' households in this 'block' and I am American..so I guess there is one totally 'English' household in this block. Rock on!

yeah. most of the time i hear them saying england instead of great britain.maybe because they used to it. I don't think there wrong with that as long they appreciate your country then thats no problem.

yes there is something wrong with it - scotland, wales and n.ireland are not England. Please tell them that they are from England and they shouldn't care when people say it. It will be entertaining for the rest of us to watch.
