Do You Use A PDA?
I just got the Toshiba PockePC e800. This thing is amazing. The display screen is gorgeous and picture perfect. Fast processor, wi-fi, loads of memory, easy to operate, every program you need, and lightweight to carry around.
Highly recommend this. It beats lugging a laptop around by far. http://myvga.ppccool.com/rotation.gif |
My cell phone is my pda - couldn't live without it. palmOne Treo 600 :thumbsup
|
i find a 12" powerbook laptop is more useful, and just as easy to carry, but some of the new PDA's do look to be pretty swish.
|
I have 3 and just have never been able to get into using them.
Chandie laughed at me about this, but I have a big Pug wall calender I write everything in. :thumbsup |
I use a palm m515, can't imagine my life without it
|
I have a Toshiba that I use to read E-Books in bed, doesn't cook my balls like a laptop.
|
KRL, i'm suprised to hear you just got the e800/805, considering Toshiba has pulled out of the N. american PDA market altoghether recently... i'll agree though, sweet device, i have one too..
|
my phone does the same job
having a PDA can be like having a filofax was in the 80's :1orglaugh |
Ya i use a blackberry and it's great.....i do everything with it
|

I just bought a palm tungsten E but as soon as I get to KRL status i'll be flippin the bills for the top of the line in personal digital assissting.
|
still have an ol skool palm Vx - it does the job - i mainly use the software on my computer and then sync to my palm so i can have a backup - and for #'s when i travel
need something to keep track of the ad space i buy and sell nd when it expires... comes in handy |
I've been using a palm tungsten C for an year, best PDA ever! WiFi, lots of RAM, SDIO slot, nice keyboard, great apps (SSH, Remote Desktop thru MobileTS, all IMs thru verichat, etc)
Waiting anxiously for the Tungsten T5, but it's gonna have to be real good to replace my C. The treo 650 also looks really promising, but right now I still prefer a bluetooth enabled phone + the Palm. Only complain about the TC is the mono audio output with a propietary jack... |

btw, i wouldn't recommend one of these to anyone who isn't at least somewhat proficient w/ unix systems, you'll get pretty frustrated quick..

The Vulcan Mini-PC from Paul Allen looks good.
