Laptops with Pentium 4 procs - Hot?
 

Do laptops with, say, an Intel Pentium 4 2.8Ghz processor get hot (NOT the "mobile" Intel Pentium 4)?

I don't want to have a laptop where I'd have to constantly lift my arms off the keyboard because it gets so hot.

They get hot and the battery is empty in no time. Do yourself a favor and get a AMD Mobile or even better a Intel Centrino. :)

Not too sure about the heat - even though it would be warmer. The real problem with the pentium 4 would be that it would drain your battery for the laptop within a short amount of time (compared to Centrino)

My laptop has a P4 3.06Ghz processor, and it doesn't get all that hot.

they are big and are not travel friendly
