I was looking at that recently let me know how it works in real world situations... I just want to know how the thing handles...

frankfortuna 10-01-2004 04:41 PM

Nice. I just added this one to auctionstealer just a few minutes ago. Hopefully I'll win.

Wow, what a cool camera. I will be having a lot of fun with this one!

Mike Panic 10-01-2004 06:43 PM

ive owned mine for over a year... did a product photoshoot this morning for a client who runs a catering company for their new brochures.

paid off 1/10 of the camera for 20 min of work (the camera has been paid off from work for a long time)

luv it... but want to upgrade soon to a eos 1d or 1dmkII - for the speed, autofocus points, built in vertical grip, less crop factor, etc

check out www.iphotoforum.com if you need/want tips on shooting and gear

Yeah, I bought one just recently and I love it. Never owned a 10D so can't really compare the two.

I used the EOS 1D recently and was not impreesed. But with the Nikon D1X giving up the ghost, we over worked it, it's time to look at new cameras. The Canon 2oD looks nice.

Buy Canon do not have a good dealership and service centre here.

I have 2 with warranties...reason is they don't tell you that they are only good for 50,000 images or so, then lock up. Been through 6 of them in the past 2 years...good camera, but buy the warranty

crockett 10-02-2004 11:30 AM

so is the 20D supposed to be an upgrade from the 10D? Prices are almost the same but I thought canon's model numbers went down based on the camera quality.

Tim 10-03-2004 06:14 AM

You can Compare the two at the Canon site aswell as at DPreview of course :)

You cant compare 20d to the 10d too many differences...

bnb 10-03-2004 10:40 AM

I currently have 2 10D's and just got the 20D yesterday. When I turned on the 20D it had a blue pixel on the LCD. I retunred it and got a another one. This time I checked it out before I brought it home.

About the 10D... I have been using them for more than a year now. I have shot over 200k photos with the one and finally the shutter broke. Its currently at Canon getting repaired, but what do you expect from a camera that costs only $1500?

Here is a sample from the 10D, 20D samples will be available soon!

Model is Tylar Jacobs aka Tylar Lee Penthouse Pet June 04

Hey congrats

I have one also and can say it is an outstanding camera....

lightswitch 10-03-2004 09:38 PM

Ive had a 10D for 5 months now, bitch'n cammera. The Battery extension is a must. Its nice to have the 2nd trigger, & I have big hands making a larger camera body a more comfortable fit. The only battle i have with this camera is the custom white ballance outdoors. anybody have any advice on this?

Check out Butterflyphoto.com seems to be teh best prices when ever i go camera shopping.

as for these sample photos, they are all resized so you cant tell shit.

Tim 10-04-2004 04:37 AM

Thanks Aaron :)

Does the 20D feel sturdy and as good as the 10D? I understood it was a bit smaller.

Raf1 10-04-2004 05:10 AM

Nice camera. I'm getting the Konica Minolta digital slr as soon as I see it in a shop here :glugglug
