Good thread. Most of my SEO comes from within my own network. Probably not the best idea but whatever :glugglug

Could it have anything to do with taking SEO advice from sites like the ones you posted?

i want a tool that'll take the top 10 or 20 results of a google keyword... and get the PR, # of inbound links, and keyword frequency/density on the page.

http://www.seo-tools.net/tools/top-10-analyzer/

But that site is mainly in german and the tools too.

Try http://rustybrick.com/tools.php otherwise (need a google API for using it).

I might be biased since they are part of my (future) site but I like these tools for checking link popularity etc. :)
http://www.domainstalker.com/expired/?mod=mod_ranktool <- for single dmain checks.
http://www.domainstalker.com/expired...mod_bulkchecks <- for bulk domain checks.

I'm not saying those are the right tools... If I knew the best tools and resources, I wouldn't post this thread :winkwink:
I was hoping for some useful recommended links...

Search engine hit simulator
http://www.1-hit.com/all-in-one/tool...ine-viewer.htm

I love this tool - it shows you how search engines would see your page. If you use divs for layout, it's important.

Poodle Predictor
http://www.gritechnologies.com/tools/spider.go

This one spiders your page and shows the results of the top 10 links, then lists the rest. Clicking a link has the tool spider that link fully, etc.. Not sure how good the results are - haven't used it for a while. Might check it out tonight. I saw some irregularities in the links it showed me just now.

Analyzer
http://www.widexl.com/remote/search-...-analyzer.html

Does meta tags but also gives you keyword density, etc.. pretty interesting. Not sure how usefull it is anymore.

Google Rank Scanner

Does any google search and shows PR results of all the sites
http://findtextlinks.com/trade.php

Also does backling checks and shows pagerank
