Mt. Helens Eruption (Latest Pix)
 
This is an image of Mount St. Helens, taken from the Johnston Ridge Observatory. The Observatory and VolcanoCam are located at an elevation of approximately 4,500 feet, about five miles from the volcano. You are looking approximately south-southeast across the North Fork Toutle River Valley.

I will update this thread every five-10 minutes for latest pictures

It's their server. Too much traffic I'd guess. Refresh the pic enough times and it'll show although it's easier simply to have the picture url open in its own window.

Check it again in 10 mins and the smoke will probably been back again. Been puffing on and off like that for a while now.

Scientist on the local news said it went just the way they figured it would, including where the release occured. Earthquakes have stopped and they predict that except for some small continued releases that it's over for now.
