that's a stupid fuckign study. they're not mammals therefore it won't effect them the same way.

additionally, if you give something psychoactive drugs like LSD, of COURSE they're not gonna be able to spin a web right. they FUCKING TRIPPING.

it has nothing to do with the toxcicity of it, because the effects wear off in just a few hours.

So you are saying there are no long term health risks in the use of chemical stimulants/depresants and that your cells regenerate completly within a few hours? So I could use LSD but as long as I wait 120 or so minuits my body will have recovered 100%

You do make a good point in there about the differances in mammals and insects, the differance is they are effected more easily because of their circulatory system so it is a gross over exageration which is what they are looking for. They are equating toxicity as a biological hinderance, this paper is worded badly.

Fascinating, but is it applicable to humans? I think not. Toxicity to a spider has no need to be evolutionarily similar to toxicity sensitivities in a human.
