I saw Kill Bill Vol 2 last nght on VOD.
Not bad.............
I didnt like the ending though.... |
loved it too... hated part 1 but after viewing it a few times it really grew on me.. fan ever since:thumbsup
|
I liked KillBill2 better than 1.
Why didn't you like the ending, Juicy? |
i thought kill bill vol 2 was boring. i really liked vol 1 though, especially all the blood squirting...it made me laugh.
|
first one rocks, second one sucks

not enough action.... The little girl at the end that was Uma Thurmans Kid right, the one she was pregnant with? Too much talking and chit chat at the end....... I liked the 5 finger death touch though. |
I thought the ending was just so corny. that stupid 5 finger of death thing. wtf she could have at least chopped off his head when his back was turned to her.
|
Oh come on now.........Pei Mai made that movie........he had me howling he was so fuckin' funny and over the top
I liked it a lot better than Vol 1, and on further viewings, like it even more. Tarantino is one of the best directors going. Lets see........Reservoir Dogs, the masterpiece, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Movies...........this guy knows his shit. |

it was slow compared to the first one
|
is it crap like the first part ?
|
The second one did start out a little slowly..but, it picked up pace quickly enough.....I thought the ending was ironic.....and I liked that.
I just watched the first one again and liked it even better than when I watched it the first time. |
He should have balanced out the action between the two movies. They were both great, but the first felt like a fragfest and the second a drama. I liked how Pulp Fiction was done, plenty of drama followed by moments of violence.
|
I enjoyed them. I saw them back to back and I think that is the only way to watch them.
|
I think a big overblown action ending would have been too hollywood for kill bill.
it would have come off too video gameish. Kill all the sub bosses to get to the big boss kinda thing ya know. The brides skill with a blade was good but if she had gone toe to toe with bill then it would have been over fast. the ending was as it should be, she used her only advantage to its finest (5 finger exploding heart technique). She knew it was the only way she could kill bill and she used it when the opportunity arose. I thought the ending was cool. but I can see how some might see it as anti-climactic |

You do all know that Kill Bill was meant as 1 movie right? They gave Tarantino the choice to cut it badly so it would go under 2 hours, or to split it into two movies.
So I don''t think you can like one and not like two, or like two and not like one. It's one movie, you like it or you don't. I did like it by the way, though I must say I think Pulp Fiction is the best movie EVER! The storyline in that one is just SO great, it's almost unbelievable. Name me one other movie that ends in the middle of the movie timeline. It's fucking brilliant! |
KB I en II were actually the only movies I enjoyed watching more then one time :)
|
Total different movie from the first, it's hard to believe that they are part of the same story!
|
I perfer the first one more, but both are great.

Unless you grew up watching grind house kung fu movies you really can not appreciate fully what he was trying to do. Such as Hitori Hanzo being a really famous character from his own line of television shows. Pai Mei is also another old character, as a matter of fact Godon Lui who played Pai Mei was his enemy back in the shows when the series and movies were popular in China. Then there was Elli Driver who is simular to the legend of the blind samurai and may be the reason why both eyes were taken out and she was left alive.
The exploding palm technique is exempliry of Wu Tang movies where a complex number of taps in pressure points effects the body, you see the same thing in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon in the courtyard fight where the guy with the Kwan Dao gets paraylized. Kill Bill 1 was more of an action movie with grind house and western feel but 2 was most definitely more in synch with mixing traditional wu tang/shaw brothers kung fu and old western movies. Be glad he cut one of the scenes that was pure old school kung fu where he fights a guy in an alley, they dub the guys voice out of sync and there is a lot of traditional "magic" like throwing swords perfectly into sheeths and cheezy tonation, you would have hated that. |

not as good as the first, still real good though, almost all movie endings are disappointments.
