MILLION DOLLAR IDEA HERE - for free..

-- CAUTION THIS POST COULD MAKE YOU RICH --

Ok with the capability of drm and making pay-per-view videos very easy this business would require almost no startup costs and bring profit very quick.

HOW-TO-VIDEOS

With a very small charge of $1 per video

My wife was bugging me the other day to watch this cooking show because it had something she wanted to make on. I explained they have all this shit online, but she argued that the only way to learn cooking stuff is to watch it.

Well i thought , wouldn't it be nice to have a place you could learn how to cook things by video and always have the recipe and video as backup. And for $1 it would be well worth it.. Like pineapple upside down cake or rack of lamb or how to bar-b-q.

But there's more things to like fixing cars and how to bondo and how to tie a fly fishing lure and all sorts of things..

How to roll a joint.
How to make weed brownies.
How to cook up crack.
How to dance on a stripper pole. etc etc

I think the key would be having UNIQUE people doing the instructional videos.

And that brings me to the second part. At first i thought , well the videos would be easy to make , just have a camcorder and have your friends film the shit and pay them a few hundred bucks per hour. But an easier and more profiitable way would be to have your VIEWERS be the ones sending you the instructional videos and making money from it.. Much like ifriends , but not live and not just an adult oriented place.

So you pay the user 50% profits on the videos he sends , so he can promote his own instructional videos online and you just handle the hosting and drm for the videos..

I'm sure it's in the works. If I knew anything about DRM I'd look into it more.

This is exactly why we started DRM Networks. In 1999 I started a dot com known as WebPayPerView with your business model in mind. Getting the video, finding developers and moreover, finding an audience was easy.

What was difficult was that, at that time, payment systems and content distribution through those payment systems did not exist. I have now drawn from that experience to develop a system to easily and inexpensively deliver video over the internet and I agree that today it is very easy to do.

I can wrap the videos up in pretty little packages for you. Have them first download a free player so they are invested in the product then when they click play it ask them to pay.

you used to work for Hello network?

wdsguy 10-01-2004 10:54 AM

the only problem i see is u would have to be knowledgable enuff to judge the quality of the instructions in these videos. If you also wanted to expand beyond a certain category u would need to cover alot of topics to cater to the variety of tastes out there and that would require alot of videos

So time might be a issue

you have to work hard to get where you need to go. or you can sit around, and miss the chance you have been waiting for and let it slip by and let someone else get it, and watch him/her succeed and take your spot of fame/fortune
