Poison porn pics show up online
The first images crafted to contain a malicious program that can take control of a PC have been found on the net.
Security experts have been expecting such images to turn up after Microsoft revealed a weakness in the way Windows handles the popular Jpeg format. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3701640.stm what a load of freeking crap.. gotta love the fact that the media uses "porn" as the scape goat for this BS. I would expect it from the US media but the BBC.. fucking aswipe drama queens the media is. |
If you were going to use a picture to get a buffer overrun what would you attach it to? Pics of a puppy? No you would use porn, sex sells.
When I used to "administrate" other people's computer we would send the client disguised as a porn program or if the person was not computer savy we would say it was a picture. This is nothing new. |
Funny, way back in the day I was reading a magazine article about usenet and the writer said porn on the internet wasn't all that bad. It was usually harmless pics of puppies when the poster said it was porn. :1orglaugh
