I finally installed it today and it's alot better than I was expecting.

Clear as a bell, convenient and free.

I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

I use my cell for LD calls but I plan on getting Skype when my son moves to Japan.

Is anyone using it for international calls? Are those free also or is there a charge?

I couldn't believe the clarity.

It's funny, as recently as 15-20 years ago I'd probably only be able to talk to him a few minutes once a month and it would sound like shit.

Now I'll be able to talk to him all the time for free! He's going to hate this :winkwink:

I'm using it for 6 months or so... it's badass , it's made by the guys who made kazaa.

Funny you say that. Had a conference "call" with a guy from Israel in my boss' office and couldn't tell the difference between Skype and a telephone. Great quality.

skype to skype calls are free, if you want to call to your cell or classic phone, you have to buy credit from them

Skype Rules!!!! We started using the service right after their launch, and have been using it every since. The quality has gotten so much better and you cant beat the confrence calling function.

I have the program, and it kicks ass, but I don't have anybody to talk to on it, so it never gets used.

I installed it when it first came out and no one else had it so I never used it. Now ive got it again and have used it several times today to talk to some friends in Holland. Those fuckinbg calls can get expensive. And it sounds like theyre right next to me. Beats the hell outta over seas lines :thumbsup
