Their objection to the Iraq war was all about making massive amounts of illegal money off of the Oil for Food prgram and trying to get the "Petro Dollar" changed to the "Petro Euro".

The old USSR provided over 60% with the remainder provided by first France, then Germany, then China.

Oh yeah and during the current Iraq war France is under heat for continuing to supply Iraq with arms.
