Think John Kerry is good for the Webmaster Community?

It appears he voted to tax your job...

Quote:

In 1998, Kerry Voted To Allow States To Continue Taxing Internet Access After Moratorium Took Effect. Kerry voted against tabling an amendment that would extend the moratorium from two years to three years and allow states that currently impose taxes on Internet access to continue doing so after the moratorium takes effect. (S. 442, CQ Vote #306: Motion Rejected 28-69: R 27-27; D 1-42, 10/7/98, Kerry Voted Nay)

In 2001, Kerry Voted To Extend Internet Tax Moratorium Until 2005 And Allow States To Form Uniform Internet Tax System With Approval Of Congress. (H.R. 1552, CQ Vote #341: Motion Agreed To 57-43: R 35-14; D 22-28; I 0-1, 11/15/01, Kerry Voted Nay)

Kerry Said ?We Do Not Support Any Tax On The Internet Itself.? ?We do not support any tax on the Internet itself. We don?t support access taxes. We don?t support content taxes. We don?t support discriminatory taxes. Many of us would like to see a permanent moratorium on all of those kinds of taxes. At the same time, a lot of us were caught in a place where we thought it important to send the message that we have to get back to the table in order to come to a consensus as to how we equalize the economic playing field in the United States in a way that is fair.? (Sen. John Kerry, Congressional Record, 11/15/01, p. S11902)

When it comes time to explain his vote.. he'll play you for a sucker...

Are you dense? Go to jail for 4 years and then come out and tell me you wouldn't have preferred to pay a tax on your earnings instead.

Who's going to jail though? I don't know of a single person that went to jail under the Bush Adminstration that wouldnt have under Clinton or Kerry.

If you do.. please prove it... maybe you can swing my vote..

better to be taxed a little, than shutdown completely.

fktup 09-29-2004 10:20 AM

Do you really think 4 more years of Bush-Cheney-Ashhahahahaha will be good for the adult industry?!?

Those guys and their conservative religious friends want to shut us down so bad.

Honestly...I don't see how *anyone* who makes a living in this industry could vote for Bush. He wants to see this whole business shut down.

*baffled*

"On January 28, 2002, Attorney General John Ashhahahahaha, announced that he spent $8000 of taxpayer's money for drapes to cover up the exposed breast of The Spirit of Justice"

fiscal conservativism at it's best.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim October 26 through November 1, 2003, as Protection From Pornography Week. I call upon public officials, law enforcement officers, parents, and all the people of the United States to observe this week with appropriate programs and activities.

now how about some evidence that Bush & Co support the adult industry?

PRESIDENTIAL PROCLAMATION IN SUPPORT OF VIGOROUS ENFORCEMENT OF FEDERAL OBSCENITY LAWS THROUGHOUT THE U.S.,

"We are encouraged that the United States Justice Department is once again targeting commercial distributors of hardcore pornography, but truly the war against obscenity has just begun."

Remarks of Attorney General John Ashc-r-o-f-t Federal Prosecutors' Symposium on Obscenity
Quote:

The Court remarked that, "Apart from sex crimes . . . there is a 'right of the Nation and of the States to maintain a decent society.' The sum of experience . . . affords an ample basis . . . to conclude that a sensitive, key relationship of human existence, central to family life, community welfare, and the development of human personality, can be debased and distorted by crass commercial exploitation of sex."

To prevent such debasement, the Department of Justice is committed unequivocally to the task of prosecuting obscenity. This commitment is demonstrated in a number of ways. First, the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS) received recently nearly one million dollars in additional resources. CEOS is targeting its resources on a bold initiative to hire five information technology specialists and two additional prosecutors. These individuals will be devoted full-time to making prosecutions against child pornography and obscenity offenders using the Internet.
