Ok, I can see the pics now. :winkwink: Very good work! How come you cloned out the upper clouds though - too hard to keep in?

Here's a pic I took tonight, in this one I actually wanted the power lines to show as a feature... I'm not so sure about the lens flare, car passing by, and some sort of aircraft (?) flying around. :) If the cows behind me weren't freaking me out I would have had the shutter open longer to let the stars trail more. This shot was taken in darkness.

I was watching a special on the history channel at how flimsy those things are when the wind kicks in.

Goose 09-29-2004 10:53 AM

wow how long did that take you? Very exact work!

jacked 09-29-2004 11:03 AM

thanks everyone, it took me almost 2 hours to complete this piece i normally wouldn't care if the power lines were part of the actual tower but these were lines on a pole that were just interfering with my shot. some of the sections the colors were to complex to blend so i just patched small sections.

WTS hit me up on aim again i lost the im i just got back home from taking some more pictures i spent an hour down in the meadowlands i think i got a bunch of nice shots i'm gonna sort through them now so i'll be here for a while.

I actually cheat a bit and use a Photoshop action that emulates Provia slide film, which produces rich and saturated colours. However with my 300D/DRebel settings (neutral colour, AdobeRGB) the images put out by the camera are actually more bland than the scene, so the colours in the final image aren't all that far off... maybe just a *little* enhanced. :winkwink: Also, since I'm shooting at night the normal colours go out the window anyway... what the camera sees and what I see are very different.

You can download the action at http://www.eddiecolwell.tzo.com/photoshop.html

Do you shoot in RAW or JPG?

reynold 09-29-2004 06:24 PM

pretty good! i appreciate it!:)

thanks rowan for the action, i will be infact selling images once i build up my database of pictures i have close to 2000 hi quality images that consider my works that i will soon be selling via the site matted and framed, and then another 10000 i'm looking to eventually sell as stock art on cds and through downloads. i just don't have the cash for a content management system at the moment i talked to the guys at http://www.adultcontentmanager.com/ they said they'd be able to help me out with a solution but at the moment it's just to pricy.

thanks for your interest everyone if you interested in getting a print for your offices or homes let me know i'll mat and frame it for you at a real good price just let me know which images your interested.

oh forgot to answer rowans question about shooting in raw or jpg i also have a canon d/rebel 300d and i shoot raw.

jacked 09-30-2004 05:54 AM

anyone know of a good content management system with a shopping cart/ paypal integration something of that sort ? ?

thanks everyone :thumbsup
