What is a really wild dish/type of food you really like?

I'll try any kind of food, I love sushi for sure, and like to experiment with the strangest items on a menu.

What is some biazarre food/dish that you really really like that I can try? Especially ones that sound wierd but are really tasty?

I'll go first....at any japanese resturaunt, tell them for appetizer you want "fish with eggs in it" (I forget the japanese name but thats the translation).

Theyll bring you these fried up 4 inch long fishies, with head and eyes and tail and everything, and its pregnant with tons of eggs and its soooo fucking tasty.

sushi rules no doubt...

just as appetizers though, then it's on to a nice salmon steak... or maybe more SUSHI!:glugglug

I have had some, even though i like spice i thought that was a bit much....they just had really crappy meat way back when.

I can't really get too many people to check out an indian place with me, so I still havent really tried any of the real authentic indian places in chicago. may have to recruit some volunteers! :thumbsup

check out Klay Oven, 400 block Orleans in the city. A good friend of mine owns the place and the food is pretty damn good, comes second only to India House which is sort of near woodfield mall.

I was at a fancy restaurant in Acapulco and the chef brought a dish out to try. I asked him what it was and he said just try it you'll love it senor. I had a few margharitas in me so stupidly I put a bit in my mouth and started gagging and spit it out on the table cause I could tell it wasn't chicken. I think it was rabbit or some kind of rodent meat but he obviously didn't want to tell me after that.
