Man, I'm losing sales as we speak.. But this hardly ever happens with Epoch, so I'm being very patient... But time is money, and I'm losing both now...I just spoke with support he said it literally will be resolved in minutes.

I have heard from someone else , who was attacked recently , that it costs 50k for an initial set up to try and stop attacks. Then it just escalates there to about 800k for a "perfect" set up. I am sure they are doing everything in their power to get the situation resolved:2 cents:

No, I've only experienced like 5% loss in sales, it's only affected me in the last hour, thats it.

dude it ain't always easy to block a ddos attack

Kimmykim 09-28-2004 08:13 PM

There's no such thing as a perfect solution. And given that one of the Epoch team did work for Nasa at one point, they've got a rocket scientist over there. :)

Everyone should switch to switch to their secondary when this happens as everyone gets hit occassionally. A few months ago when our primary (Netbilling) went down, we switched to CCbill within minutes but then they got hit as well. Luckily neither of them was down for long. Even Microsoft gets hit regularly.

yeah I don't think there's much you can do about a ddos attack

I'm not a programmer though
