I feel the exact same way. I got some cash to move, I just dont know where yet.

A lot of Canadians spend the winter in Florida.
I know theres hurricanes now but that'll pass, and in February its 70 degrees and the beaches are beautiful.

I was looking at FL too for the winters, but I don't think I could handle a hurricane. Cali seems really expensive for real estate.

Texas, maybe?

Native language is czech, but you'll be just find with english, because most people speak english and especially in Prague.
About the temperature, during summer it's usually between 25-30 degrees, now it's around 15 degrees and during the winter it's around zero or less, but hey everything is so close, the mountains are only 2-3 hours far from Prague.....:thumbsup

wdsguy 09-28-2004 03:52 PM

BradM 09-28-2004 04:37 PM

Shorty... cost of living in Cali is astronomical when you're used to paying Vancouver rental costs.

hova 09-28-2004 04:39 PM

Then I will either get a roomate, or make more money!:thumbsup

BradM 09-28-2004 05:02 PM

Example. In Parksville I could get a 800sqft apartment for $600 a month CDN

My 800sqft apartment in OC is 1315 USD a month
