Has anyboybody had to get his account verified by sending them a copy of ID and bank statement???

If so...how long does it take to have the account working again after sending the scans?

I sent 2 days ago and my account still on temp suspension...sucks

You would think that they would just require all that shit up front, instead of CHARGING your credit card $50 (or how much over that your willing to put on the their card at "activation").....

and then "freezing" your card until you provide further info.

My guess, is that, if they ask people for photocopies of their driver liscence, credit card (and security code), upfront....... people are going to be reluctant to sign up.

I myself, would have not signed up, if they were asking for that shit upfront. Its not becuase i have something to hide either....

How many of you feel safe sending a photocopy of your drivers liscence and credit card (and security code) in the mail or fax?

by the way.... yes, my epassporte was "frozen"

I signed up, they charged me $50. Then on my first payment I recieved to my epassporte, they froze it, then wanted all my info...

I only had it for a few days, and never used it.

I signed up, only to recieve payments from affiliate programs.

WARNING : If your affiliate program offers epassporte as a payment option for your affiliates, better make sure you have another payment option, becuase i wont be promoting you if you dont.

OK. I can't believe I have to state this again, but, for the record and to clear up the confusion here.....

1) ePassporte does NOT - I repeat - does NOT charge you $50 for an account. ePassporte charges a load fee (from the load card) of $5.00. You must load a minimum of $50 and the balance of $45 is yours to spend as you wish. Why have an account with a zero balance? The $50 minimum encourages use of the product. Variable rates are being considered for 2005, but for now, account initiation requires a $50 minimum load. Anyone ever get a checking account? Most banks require a minimum of at least $100 to open an account. This is nothing new.

SIDE NOTE: Affiliate accounts may load their ePassporte account using their U.S. checking account. They may also transfer funds from their ePassporte account to their checking account. Load -or- transfer fees are $2 regardless of the amount. Good thing to keep in mind if you actively load your own card and want to avoid the $5 per hundred fee of using a credit card.

2) An account may need to have further verification for one of a few reasons. For example, something about your data doesn't match. You say you are in the U.S. when you sign up, but your IP tracks to (insert random country here). Or, your balance is such that to protect the account holder -and-be compliant with the "know your customer rule," ePassporte requires additional documention. Or, there is questionalbe acitivy with your account and we need to look further into it. Questionable simply means ePassporte needs to know you better. Any company dealing with money in a high-risk space (or not) has the same sort of requirements. If they don't, you should question them.

Yeah..but what's wrong with just keeping $5.00 in your account as opposed to $45? No matter how you look at it..that $45 will never be yours again as anytime you use the $45 in your account, ANOTHER min is going to be necessary.
