What was the last Really Good Movie you saw?

I like a good movie, but a really good one is hard to find. What was the last really good movie you saw, one that made you think and was not just a bunch of stunts and action.

Let me know!

gangbangjoe 09-27-2004 01:22 PM

Donnie Darko

Wiggles 09-27-2004 01:23 PM

These are all good suggestions, but rather mainstream. I like a movie that is not filled with tons of hollywood type people and more based on a good theme and good acting. What's a move I have not heard of and should see?

hova 09-27-2004 01:29 PM

zebraman was ok, collateral was ok.......nothing really good the last few months

jacked 09-27-2004 01:30 PM

It's from the 70's, but its Kubrick.

Some people like his post 6th Sense movie. I have no idea why, but if you did, for some reason, like unbreakable and signs, you will probably like this one.

n3in 09-27-2004 02:19 PM

Shaun of the Dead - A good movie in its own right but if you're UK based there's a load in there that non-UK peeps would miss. Not a classic but certainly one of the best I've seen in the past few months.

nolaman 09-27-2004 02:39 PM

Saw Office Space again the other day.. gotta love that movie.

Last good new movie I saw was Collateral. I just saw Kill Bill Vol2 :thumbsup

Manowar 09-27-2004 02:40 PM

saw soul plane yesterday... funny shit

andrej_NDC 09-27-2004 02:45 PM

none :(
I saw the new comedy with Ben Stiller and Drew B., dont how the title, it was not so funny...
then my GF took my to see Dirty Dancing 2, just because we were in a shopping center and they just played the movie, damn, the movie is so bad, I cant describe it, I prayed for the end. And lately I was on The Village, compared to the other movies it was great, but in reality, they could make it better.
I just cant wait for the Blade 2 premiere. :)

wdsguy 09-27-2004 02:46 PM

I saw garden state with my gf, it was pretty good

Is Duplex the movie you are referring to?

I just saw The Punisher, and it was a VERY good movie! The best comic book/marvel movie I've ever seen. He has no superhuman qualities, and he's out to avenge the murder of his entire family. It's really good...

Also, I just saw In The Cut with Meg Ryan. EXCELLENT movie. Not only are there hot sex scenes with a totally nude Meg, but also, it's just an awesome movie.

:thumbsup :thumbsup

Torn Rose 09-27-2004 02:54 PM

GFY is probably the worst place to ask such a question. You could go ask the same question in an AOL chatroom filled with 15 years olds and you would get the same answer...

SykkBoy 09-27-2004 02:57 PM

Napoleon Dynamite
Shaun of The Dead
Sky Captain And the World Of Tomorrow

my 3 favorite movies of the year (so far, still waiting for "Saw" and "Polar Express")
