This year's Superbowl will be between...

the Eagles and the Colts.

I'm fairly confident that the Eagles will make it this year. The Colts will have more of a challenge in their conferance from teams like the Patriots.

What do you think?

NaughtyAlysha 09-26-2004 08:21 PM

Sucks the Bucs won't be there... Don't know what's going on with them, but they're falling apart. http://www.naughtyalysha.com/images/gfy/gloom.gif

Colts will kick ass too

They have no offensive line for starters :(

And no doubt about the Eagles going to the bowl this year.

2HousePlague 09-26-2004 08:31 PM

The Dolphins are exhibiting exceptional fluke strength this season.

Yeah, I know. They are a totally different team than what Dungy left behind. Adam is from Philly, though, so I guess I'm ok if they go all the way.

It sucks when you as a FAN know what pieces are missing and during the offseason it doesn't seem like management tried to address this need.

They're losing right now though.

Getting turned into tuna by the Steelers.

You've GOT to be kidding.

I'd like to see the Seahawks make to the show this year, and they're looking strong out of the gate right now with a nice 3 and 0.

Seahawks vs Colts

Can't happen, they're in the same conference.

It will be one or the other I'm afraid.

They played an impressive game against my niners but I'm not convinced that they are the team to beat. We'll have to see how they play against some of the better teams in the league. Also Alexander is injury prone. His health will be the key to the post-season for the hawks.

Both teams need to be there, but I believe one of those 2 will choke in the post season and not make it while the other does.

I think the Eagles will make it between the 2, but either can fuck it up with a bad game or injuries. And Manning hasn't really won the big game yet.

Terrell Owens is the difference.

scoobydookc 09-26-2004 08:57 PM

One step further, in the NFC the Seahawks and Eagles will make #1 and #2 seed (flip a coin to assign the seed to either), and in the AFC the Patriots will be first seed, followed by the Colts, which is no challenge as to who would proceed to the superbowl,... Patriots.. Manning can't do anything against Bellicek (or however it's spelled.)

On the NFC side it's much more interesting. The Seahawks have apparently put all the pieces together, and the Eagles are definately the favorite -- not only to goto the superbowl but in my opinion to suffer injuries. One of the Eagles star offensive players will sit out from injuries at some point during this season, and what happens will show how far they will get...

But the key to the NFC is the Panthers... I expect the Eagles to beat them (non-injury on the Eagle side), but if the Seahawks run into them, the Panthers will prevail....

Patriots v. Eagles, and the Eagles will finally win, and it will be great to watch.

I agree that TO is the impact player that the Eagles have needed. As far as Manning goes I think this is the year that Reggie Wayne fully emerges. We'll see if Manning can keep it together in January.

I can't believe Houston beat KC today. Unreal.

I'm aghast. No, I'm flabbergasted. Yeah, that's what I am.

scoobydookc 09-26-2004 09:10 PM

I'm in KC and it really never crossed anyone's mind that we might lose this game in the stadium.... Very hard to believe with very minimal personel changes we can lose as many as we lost last year, in as many weeks.... The first two I would think could go either way, but this was pretty unacceptable, we should be considered #32 in the NFL power rankings. Gonz has a fucked up foot and limps, Holmes never admits when he is hurt, Morton isn't trying to catch a ball because the safety might hit him, and to top it off the schedule doesn't get any easier for the remainder of the season. Many fans out here have already given up... waiting for next year...

I was of the impression until today we could beat down any second tier team, like an expansion team, by atleast 21.... But not stand up to even a team of slightest talent... Those days are gone...

If Holmes is on your fantasy team don't worry... But don't bet FOR the Chiefs any time soon... In the locker room they've crumbled after this game... Blaming it on the officials no matter how good of an argument you have, is merely shifting blame from the real problem, and that is precisely what Vermeil's weakness is, and now we're going to suffer.

CDSmith 09-26-2004 09:23 PM

Yep, although I'm a long time diehard Niner's fan, I always root for a second team (even in years when the niners were winning), and that team most often was the Chiefs.

But I don't think so this year.

I think I'm going to keep an eye on those Seahawks this time around. The Vikings aren't a write-off yet either.

How can you pull for a divisional foe?

Evil1 09-26-2004 09:28 PM

patriots will become a dynasty this year!

sumphatpimp 09-26-2004 09:29 PM

Well, it's like this. The niners always have my loyalty, yes. But at the same time, I do like other US cities for various reasons. Some have to do with who I know that lives there, some have to do with good times I've had there, and some have to do with no reason at all save that I just like the city.

The Seahawks look good. They just shit-stomped my niners 34-0, and it is looking patently obvious that this is again not the niner's season.

I still back the niners in each game in my heart of hearts, but dude... I'm in like 900 football pools. If I want to win, well, a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do.

But no one on this earth wants San Fran to regain their former glory than I do.

JSA Matt 09-26-2004 09:39 PM

I got Manning and Harrison on my fantasy football team :Graucho :Graucho

Strife 09-26-2004 09:43 PM

The Seahawks are rocking. Their problem last year was winning on the road. This season their of to a good start at 2-0 on the road. The first half of the season will be tough as most of their games are on the road. If they have 1 or 2 losses going into the second half of the season..WATCH OUT :thumbsup

Anybody see Roy Williams play against the Eagles? Dayum that guy is a stud WR.

Penthouse Tony 09-26-2004 09:43 PM

I'm in pools too so I did the smart thing and picked the Seahawks to beat my Niners. But if I need another team to route for I start searching outside the division. :2 cents:

Plus Holmgren looks like a walrus.

I don't care about such things as divisions. There are certain teams that I simply will not back as my "secondary team" no matter what. Green Bay for example. No cheesedick am I.

(sorry Minte) lol

Fact is, I won't back Chicago ever either. "storied" or not, I find their fans to be, well.... something is a little too much for me there. I hear this "The Bears are the most 'storied' team in the league" etc.... I hear that I want to vomit. How can they compare their little stories to the amazing raging legendary dynasty that was the niners?

They can't.

But Seattle is a city that I like, and I've always like the team to a degree. Largent was one of my favorite players back in the day, and although it stings to see them trounce the niners like they just did, I'd rather see them win than one of the aformentioned teams.

That's going to have to be a good enough explanation for you mon. When it is again the year of the niners, none of this will matter, put it that way. No matter how well the Seahawks do this year, next year or the year after could see the niners own everyone, and that is all that really matters..... to me anyway.
