If you must use Windows try Mcafee, far better the Symantec right now. The real answer is to buy a Macintosh

Checkout the Sygate Personal Firewall. It's the best software-based firewall i've ever used.

Best combo is Sygate FW Pro and McAfee

they have an online version of the antivirus, and you can scan your pc for free.

The download the trial antivirus and firewall.

Great stuff.

HP sent us there, and said that they sugguest that you use this after anyother anti. it will always find things that others miss.

I vote SyGate Firewall and Avast Pro anti-virus.

:2 cents:

Vitasoy 09-26-2004 08:25 PM

Virus program: Panada Titanium
Software Firewall: Zonealarm

Hardware firewall: Linksys Router.

Then you're set ;)

Khun 09-26-2004 08:30 PM

Norton and zone alarm

wdsguy 09-26-2004 08:31 PM

I use norton but the problem is that updates are everyfew days, lookin for a better solution that pushes out a definition every few days hopefully

Archie Bunker 09-26-2004 08:33 PM

Yeah, if you can use a router...that's the best (inexpensive) firewall money can buy...hands down.

Archie Bunker 09-26-2004 08:35 PM

Seriously...Avast antivirus is kickass. No problems in months, regular seaml updates. Awesome.

Archie Bunker 09-26-2004 08:36 PM

^^ Um..that's supposed to be "seamless". ^^
