Let me get something straight
 

sorry if this might sound stupid or newbie, but stocktrader's post made me wonder about this..

when someone enters a sponsor program with my ref code and DOESN'T join the program, will I still be credited for the join if he joins from someone else's ref code two months later, because he got a cookie from when he entered the page with my ref code? (It's hard for me to believe, but isn't this what stoktrader meant?)

or maybe it only works if he enters the program without a ref code at all?

and if it works this way for some programs, does it work this way for some porn sites too? (ie: for surfers, not webmasters)


Maybe I really misunderstood something here, because I find it pretty hard to believe that many sponsors work this way...
I'm not very good with tech, so I'd appreciate if you clarify this for me...
