Work hard and learn everything you can so if an opportuniy presents itself, you have the knowledge to capitalize on it. Keep up appearences and leave yourself in situations where big things happen, ie hang with the right people. Success breeds success.

Luck hardly ever has anything to do with it.

That is a truely great answer and probably is the right answer to this thread.

I know a guy in nigera that just needs $30,000 so he can transfer 40 million to my bank account, if you pay the $30,000 ill give you 80 million.

Live humble, and cheaply, don't buy a huge house unless you are into real estate. Don't buy a hot car because its just a money sink.

Take the money from your working and invest it into either stocks or into your own business(es).

Start businesses that can run themselves and require little personal time after startup.

Rinse and repeat

In the end you should have plenty of businesses and investments that make money without much attention from you.

If you did it right, then you are now filthy rich, and can break the humble cheapness and go buy yourself a Lambo or something.

I don't know for sure if this will work, but this is what myself and some friends are starting on next year, (after my house is finished being built and I have some extra cash again)

Save your money and buy real estate whenever you have extra cash and then rent it out. Repeat.

We aren't in an area where there is any bubble that is going to burst, everything is reasonably priced here already.

It will take a while but I think it is a good plan.
