There is clearly a case for others to have nukes for their own defense when assholes are controlling the largest stock of nuclear weapons on the planet - and still developing more with a current budget of 6 million.

I think the current budget is 6 billion which which they hope to contruct more weaponary that manages to deviate around arms treaties..

US is miles ahead of Russia on nukes. They have plenty arms, but ain't got the money (hell, neither has the US!) to keep ahead of the race.

Sure they are assholes - Anyone who manufactures shit that will foul up the planet is an asshole. It don't matter where a nuke is heading - it still screws it up for everyone else.

You don't have to look further than Afghanistan and Iraq right now. The levels of depleted uranium there is absurd - about 19 times above a safety level and that is going to be there for around 50 years and cause loads of damage to people. Far more than were ever killed in either of these two "wars" so far.

Actually, it's worse than that. This shit actually poisons the environment for BILLIONS of years. Iraq will never be a safe place to live.

There was a platoon of US soldiers sent to clean some of the shit left over from the Gulf War. On the 100 ish guys that were in that platoon, 70 are now dead and the remaining 30 suffer from the effects of DP.

The "good news" is the US has been forced off a Caribbean island where they used to test this stuff on bombing runs. About 30% of the population there are suffering from the effects of this.

The "bad news" is they now plan to do the same fucking thing in Nevada and use that as a testing ground.
