I am not a tech guy, but seems like it could had worked.

For a fact would have as long as the sponsor tracked webmaster referrals with cookies.

uhm...

So few sites pay on those referrals that the income would not have been huge at first. But it would have added up I am sure.

I've always done great from my downline. I have one guy that clicked a sig I only ran for a week sign up 8 months later from the cookie. He's made me $300 a week or more for almost a year now.

What I'd like to know is are the referral links like first come first serve or what? If you set the cookie, then they click a banner, who gets credit?

I think 1 month is the maximum in this industry.

affiliate associated with the banner would get the credit (at least that's how it is with most programs)

Well heres an idea that will still work..

Do the same thing ( iframes ) on a page you own.

Then find funny videos and such ( or a good article ) and post the link on gfy..

Only problem i see with it is that browsers only send cookies back to domains they originate from, so if you set a cookie from xyz.com the browser won't send it to zyx.com
