I support a draft...

...for all of these pro-war keyboard warriors, irrespective of age (or weight).

I guarantee you'd see the fastest troop withdrawl in military history!

stocktrader23 09-25-2004 07:07 PM

Heh, just leave me out of it. I'd proudly go fight for something worth a fuck but I'll be damned if that fucknut is gonna get me to Iraq.

jblazed 09-25-2004 07:08 PM

fuck the draft :ak47: :BangBang:

CheneyRumsfeld 09-25-2004 07:10 PM

me too!
draft all the young dope smokers!
too much competition in the online porn biz.

Screaming 09-25-2004 07:53 PM

well i dont

baddog 09-25-2004 07:59 PM

I was just talking to my son about this the other night . . . apparently he would not have a problem if the draft was brought back.

I think the only problem would be keeping him supplied with enough ammo

boobmaster 09-25-2004 08:01 PM

I support HOWARD for PM!

scoobydookc 09-25-2004 08:05 PM

Are we out of supply of army regulars already?

Maybe someone should post the statistic of how many regulars are left before the mention of a draft, the conversation seems moot at this point.

I went to a high school of roughly 1700 and atleast 20 I knew of signed up (pre-9/11).... Other than the ROTC... blah blah... We couldn't possibly be running short of troops.

NoCarrier 09-25-2004 08:21 PM

GFY would become horribly quiet.. :1orglaugh

Chris 09-25-2004 10:53 PM

Keyboard warriors are to fat to pass the training to get accepted

mardigras 09-25-2004 10:54 PM

News report I heard the other day said that over 50% of our reserve forces have been activated.

Well the draft wouldnt be HIS decision now would it?

"I'll only go if they MAKE me" dont sound like a decision to me.

Well, I asked him why he doesn't enlist. He said it is because he is doing what he has always wanted to do since he was 5 years old, be a firefighter.

However, he did point out that he did go thru the motions of enlisting in the Navy (when he was a senior in highschool), and had they put in writing that they would make him a firefighter, he would do it.

In fact, if the Army or Marines would take and make him a firefighter he would be there for sure. There is great money for firefighters with military experience working in the oil fields of the mid-East.

It would be he decision to go fight instead of running to another country and hide .

Tam 09-25-2004 11:19 PM

NO, hell NO, I don't support a draft and won't. In fact, I have requested my kids don't have a damn thing to do with THIS shit here. I don't believe in THIS war and won't support it and for DAMN sure will never ever suggest my kids, or anyone go and help this fool that is sending them there now. THEY are his ammo, not him, he has nothing to lose, he isn't being shot at and killed and HIS kids aren't either, so why in the FUCKING hell should I give him MY kids? Fuck THAT shit!!!!

I am all for standing up and fighting for something you believe in, but this is a bunch of horseshit and I'll not advise my kids to go and be his bullets.

I know I sound a bit angry and bitter, but dammit, I have a 15 yr old Son, a 20 yr old daughter and her fiance is 21, so HELL no, I don't want any of them having to be forced to go and fight THIS fools battles, and that's exactly what this one is to me, it is HIS battle, let HIM go and fucking fight it himself.

And no I'll not debate this one, it's how I feel and no one is going to change my mind. lol

well, yeah, that too . . . . plus, he could probably avoid the draft if he wanted to since he is an ordained minister . . . but he told me he would never use that to get out of a draft.

Actually, it is one son that is both a firefighter and ordained minister . . . although I just learned last week of his "minister" status. Something he did a couple years ago on a whim, and while I am quite proud of the firefighter achievement, I am really not sure how I feel about this minister stuff. At least he isn't using it as a way to get out of things. He has performed a wedding I think, and will be performing his mother's wedding in a couple of weeks.

I also have a daughter that graduated UC Davis in 3 years, worked with autistic children for a year, and is now a grad student at UCLA, and as her intership, runs a parenting class for victims of domestic violence.

So yeah, I am a very proud father . . . .and rightfully so I think. :)

Bringing back a draft with no deferments, where men and women 18-26 years old would be forced to join the military, would insure that the President/government won't go to war unless its absolutely necessary.

If all the rich Republicans that donated heavily to G.W.B.'s re-election had to send their children to fight in Iraq, you know damn well they would find a way to end that war A.S.A.P.

I know a couple of these kids who are serving in Iraq - they are literally kids with nada life experience. That is sad shit, especially when they are engaged there on bullshit instigated by a retard.

The retard needs to be hauled into a court, tried and chucked in jail for a life sentence.

theking 09-26-2004 02:15 AM

In response to the thread title...so do I...for multiple reasons.

CET 09-26-2004 02:33 AM

I served and went on 2 combat deployments. A draft is a form of slavery and I am against slavery in all its forms. A military works best and is most ethical when it is based on a volunteer system.

Tipsy 09-26-2004 02:46 AM

Thought you might but then it doesn't so much apply to you as considering you didn't read the first post you are one of the few to have responded to the whole question :)
