Me too Crocket... we are just below you in Melbourne, beach side. We don't plan to evacuate, but we will decide for sure tomorrow morning.

its a shame these hurricanes couldnt stay away this season

I moved to FL in '94 and this is the first year where we got hit, so one time and now two counting this weekend in the whole scope of a decade isn't all that bad.

More than anything its just a pain in the butt securing everything and then dealing with all the post hurricane inconveniences for a week or two.

I'll still take this area over anywhere else in the US.

Hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes... don't bother me none. All we have is heat, and for that there's AC.

This is the third one for Orlando the past 6 weeks. I just bought this house, hopefully it lasts through one more! :)

I feel you Dude. Fucking Ivan is getting old. It's supposed to hit us again as a Tropical storm this weekend or Monday. Only about half of us here have power, traffic is a bitch, and not many gas stations are open for business. If there is one coming your way, board up and get the fuck out. Go west!

Pensacola looks like a ghost town. It's completely trashed- literally.

Yeah loks like Volusia county is getting a mandatory evac notice tomorrow or Sunday morning :(

Ah well looks like we may be heading up to Bumfuck Georgia again this weekend :(

Been here for almost 4 years though and this is the first hurricane season where there have been any 'actual' hurricanes so Florida aint all that bad weather wise :)

yea I agree KRL, normally Fl isn't too bad hurricane season.. but I've been dealing without my truck since Charley and I've lost my power for at least 3-4 days with each of these storms and looks like I'll lose it again this time. I'm not in the position with my online earnings that I can just walk away from it for a half a week every couple weeks, this crap has really put the hurting on me.

Now I'm deciding what I'm doing tomorrow as we are under evacuation orders again, I'm starting to get really frustrated with this crap.

I second the motion and feel the pain crockett. 3 days without power and internet...have internet now, but without it at the house for 3 weeks...grrrr

seems like every weekend we're tying down the fort getting ready to survive...hope this is the last one for this decade
