KRL 09-24-2004 10:39 AM

I think it is really shitty to deliberately load fake profiles into another company's database.

That should be made a fucking crime with jail time for fraud!

You don't like it but yahoo does. They advertise on all those fake profiles that get millions of hits per day. They have to pretend to dislike it because they are public but they could put a kink in everyones game in 30 minutes if they so chose. Won't happen by their own free will. :2 cents:

SmokeyTheBear 09-24-2004 10:51 AM

how many do you need ?
willing to pay ?

Well to do them like that , requires manual creation. But the benefits of having autoclick code on the page really helps..

Never tried to bulk them, but i imagine i could make 50 to 100 per hour ? maybe less actually.

Heres a good hint if you make your own profiles..

Use the VOICE link to place a link to a nonexisting .wav file , thus when user clicks it, it 404's and send them to page you want..

When i tried this method it had 3 times higher ratio than simply web urls used in links..

SmokeyTheBear 09-24-2004 11:08 AM

i could prob do 50 for $500..

email me smokey_the_bearz @ lycos . com , if i have some free time i will do it for you.

Mr Pheer 09-24-2004 11:10 AM

i could make 450 a day, if I wanted to. thats getting around the 18 per day per ip limit.

That's not true by the way.

I thought what he was doing was looking for someone to create fake singles personals to load into Yahoo.

Sorry if I was incorrect.

many many ways. Of course using proxies always works. It helps to have a yahoo admins name..

I have built some software for some guy awhile ago that worked great you could load about 100 names on each computer.

The iframe is placed in the voice url when you build the profile, the trick is knowing the servers to use. * and you have to manually re-create a version of the profile edit screen in yahoo..

Smokey I just e-mailed you about your services.

Get back to me when you can.

Mr Pheer 09-24-2004 12:37 PM

i just noticed, smokey's profiles dont have the ads on the right side or the bottom... very slick

emthree 09-24-2004 12:45 PM

Hey Smokey:

I am also having trouble with setting up the iframe for redirection.
I noticed you have pot.wav setup as the voice file, however when attempting to insert code in the input box it gets ignored. I guess I could be doing it wrong, or I'm missing an important part to this.

If possible, would you be willing to provide a brief step-by-step document so that I can better understand this process? I will be willing to pay for what it's worth. I'm not in the area of spamming yahoo, or any sort of profile based system but this however interests me.

Thanks alot.

detoxed 09-24-2004 12:46 PM

lol
Ive experimented with Yahoo Profiles. Thousands of them to even get a decent amount of daily traffic. Tens of thousands to make good money.

I wont hold your hand , but i will gie you a few hints..

On the page that you change the voice url you need to view-source , then save a copy of it to your computer, then find the form input line in the html and make sure its pointed directly to a server not /file.php ( i.e. http://profiles.yahoo.com/file.php )

then you need to find the server to point to. ( this is the hard part ) but if you do some sniffing you should be able to find it ..

hint* many countries have there own profiles serers. Hint , look for asian ones..

harvey 09-24-2004 12:55 PM

If I don't recall wrong, the $5 Submission people was doing that, don't remember the URL but just make a search.

And Smokey, you're one of the smartest mofos I've ever known. And creative :thumbsup I'd love to have half of your brain and knowledge :)

That is slick... I see what your doing. It's in the ah.wav file that isn't there.

you dont have just 100 profiles sitting in the member directory and getting 13k uniques

well of course not, why would i go thru the trouble of making them, just to let them sit there hoping someone stumbles across them. Think i just figured out what you are doing wrong.

if they were just sitting there, i doubt they would even pull that much

its not wrong, its just a different method. making 100 yahoo profiles and just leaving them in the member directory will bring in maybe 1000 clicks a month.

So 10,000 profiles just sitting in the member directory is worth 100,000 uniques a month with absolutely NO work, no upkeep, nothing. The traffic will be coming in for years.

Thanks for the information:

Which form input.. the action? or one of the 5 inputs? I'm still a bit confused since Yasia seems to be pointing to edit.profiles.yahoo.com as well.

emthree 09-24-2004 02:01 PM

Still stands if you want to sell me the full process for a few bucks
