What's the best city in Canada to live in?
I'm thinking about it spending maybe 6 -12 months just to travel and live in a different city. I've been to Toronto and Montreal and like them both. So I want to know what you all think
|
Toronto's got my vote........I live here and I love it......Except the winter :)
|
You should check out Calgary, it's a nice place during the summer.
|
Toronto the best city in the world :thumbsup
|
Do people from Montreal and people from Toronto really have an attitude towards each other? or is that a myth?
|
Canmore Alberta
i think of moving there all the time it is just 40 minutes west of calgary into the mountains..just 15 minutes outside of Banff |
I dont like mountains or scenery too much. Im mostly a downtown city boy.
|
the question is too vague. You have to be more specific. What are you looking for and what are your interests??:)

Plus downtown Toronto is quite diverse...really depends on where you live to like or dislike it. |
I've been in Montreal a few times and its great!

I believe Vancouver has been voted one of the best places to live, period - but no, I have no links to that
On the West Coast so we get California-type weather in the summer, but with the cool ocean breeze that you expect a bit further north it's refreshing. We have Whistler for Ski-ing They're shooting the new Fantastic Four movie with Jessica Alba in Vancouver.. :winkwink: Vancouver rocks.. you should visit!! http://city.vancouver.bc.ca/ :thumbsup |

Vancouver - excellent place to live, with rainy winters or Winnipeg - excellent place to live, but damn cold in winter :thumbsup |

i live in toronto, and i have to say, the best city, IN THE WORLD, is MONTREAL!!!!
the people, the women, the parties, the women, the drugs, the women, the cafes, the women, the arts, the women. |

For basic cost of living, few larger cities in Canada can match us. Plus we have the 2nd largest French community in Canada west of Quebec (but no separatists), beautiful river walks along 3 beautiful rivers, close to 700,000 people here so we're not a gi-normous metropolis like some of the others but still big enough to maintain all forms of big-city entertainments and amenities, the most restaurants per-capita of any city in the world, and we have one of the top 10 beaches in the world less than an hour away. But our winters can be brutal on the unprepared. Every place no matter where you go has it's longs and shorts. Oh yeah, and our women are absolutely without a doubt hot hot hot. There are an incredible % of hot women here. Must be something in the water. |
Hali-wood baby! Add it to the fucking list!
(halifax) |
really is a toss up between toronto and montreal. I live in toronto and its amazing.
|
You left out Harrow....
.....where I spent a month, the last three days.... |
Victoria is the place to be!! No snow, hot university women, etc!

Victoria BC rules.
Not exactly a metropolitan megacity, but the girl to guy ratio seems to be somewhere around 3:1 :thumbsup That and we're right by the ocean, it never snows, and there's wildlife all around for camping. |

I personally spew my raw sewage right on the street, so don't blame me for the ocean! |
the Yukon is the place to be
