Take a look at comus. it is the best, but a little higher than that. But they have a free one, with a slight skim.

i paid 12 times that for mine.

It looks great but it's encoded. I would only use open source so I know that it's safe. They are not exactly bbb members.

i bought the server license and have had a bitch of a time trying to get more unlock codes from the guy, ween at it over a week.

How many open source "commercial" tgp scripts are really available though?

Let's say I crank out a tgp script for you and it's not encoded. Anyone with a keyboard hooked up to their computer and a little knowledge in programming is gonna want to modify the way the program works. If you fuck with the code, then there is a chance that you could unbalance the code. If you ask me to troubleshoot, then I'm going to expect to see my code, unchanged, so I know where the hell I'm going in my code -- not a hybrid of my code and your code. For me, that would be the biggest reason to zend it up before I send it up.

go with comus and stop trying to alter code....or write it yourself

I dont own a tgp so dont give me any shit. But I havent bought a piece of software in 7 years.

I think I'm going with agp sql, I don't need to alter the code but I want to know what the script is doing. Maybe I'm paranoid but I wouldn't do it any other way.

Why not put a disclaimer that if the code is altered a certain way it will not be suppoted or costs more for support?

I can't believe AGP is the only open source option, I used them like 5 years ago and they are still the best a far as I can tell.

go ask microsoft for the source to windows or any of thier other software.

Im using APTGP, its only been running for a month or so but seems good.....

A few issues with stats have come up just today so I will see what the support is like very soon :)

I agree AGSQL is nowhere near being the best BUT it has actually come a long way for the thumb rotation in the last update, and it's stable as hell and doesn't eat a lot of server resources.

That said for new sites I am gonna be using Smart Thumbs. It's pretty much idiot proof.
