I read the article about that guy on salon.com. I think the reason he's trying to make money with adult webmaster school is because he wasn't cutting it as an adult webmaster.

It's funny how all you jealous newbies don't know shit about who these people are. Have you ever fucking met them? Then how do you know what these guys are all about and how much they make? Have you seen their stats? Paychecks? Have you enrolled in their program? Maybe if you would concentrate on your work, and not assuming things about shit you don't know, you would get more than the 1 signup a month you're getting. See, I have no idea who you are, but it's really easy for me to say that you get 1 signup a week.
I hope AWS floods the market with newbies -- it will push you idiots out and good Webmasters in. Why you so jealous anyway? They are newbies -- are you newbies to? I know these guys, and I know their background. I have *personally seen* their stats and paychecks in real time and they are no joke. brock strikes back. AWS is a brillant idea, and I wish them all the best.. I know that they are a bunch of sharp guys, I partied with em in Vegas, and was really impressed. Plus they let me cut in front of them in line for the players ball! Cool guys, and from a program stand point the idea is great. |
Teaching newbies not to post 30 pics with a banner would be a bad thing ? It seems its getting hot in the kitchen for some people. I wish them all the best with this school I wish it had been around 3 years ago.

From what I have heard, the guys at AWS are successful TGP'ers and make their money through paid submissions and banner spots on the Hun. The top gallery listings are usually paid ones and I have seen some of their galleries (most of them are movie galleries) and they are pretty good. One of the guys even posted his stats on AWI a while ago and they were pretty impressive. |

They are succesful but they are liers.. You can't make alot working 1 hour a day. Maybe they don't consider making deals with other webmasters work(well it's not real work but it takes time)? If they are going to bring in 1000 more TGPers no TGPers would make alot of money....

Seriously though, everyone is quick to assume these guys don't know wtf they are doing. Maybe they do, maybe they don't. I just hate when people are quick to assume the worst. Get to know them and the program, then bash 'em if they deserve it. Or praise 'em for that matter. Look at it this way: if they teach their students how to build good galleries, then they will get listed. If you are worried about them squeezing you out, take the class, lol.

What I found was ok, but hadn't been updated since 1996. Not only did I have to assemble bits and pieces from 100 different newbie sites just to learn, I shit you not, one of the current tutorials at these free newbie sites said, "There's a new type of site called a TGP..." ROTFL! Again, sorry for going off... I wish these guys the best of luck... |

I'm in this for the money...I don't have a problem with newbies in this business.....I was one.... I don't have a problem with people coming up with a new way to make money.....in time, I'm sure I'll wish I thought of it first..:-) The reality is....if you work hard and smart..and be consistent..there's money to be made. Good money. We started with $8.00 a week. My education in this industry came from my partners who have been around for six years. I had excellent teachers, which saved me from many newbie mistakes. All the newbie boards in the world don't replace hands on teaching. If this school has a hands on approach and teaches folks how to get past that first year, then good for them. I've been working/learning in this biz for 3 years and I'd have to say the worst temptation for me is starting new projects... If this program could cure me of spreading myself too thin then I think it's rather cheep. I have enough scripts and shit to last me a life time (that's why I stay away from Sears power tool section). If you're not making money, it's not because of Adult Webmaster School, TGP's, Pic Posts, or even the newsgroups. It's because you just don't have a good idea for a site and are trying to get by on copying other people. Also, never believe any webmaster's bullshit about how much money he makes. If he says "I made $20K last month," he may be quoting the gross, not the net. He may even be (horrors!) lying. Let pretend I posted this earlier. Dear Mr. Brock Landers, Yes my graphics came from the geocities clip art section. I guess that makes me a bad guy. But I needed some graphics to throw up until I get shit done. Now for the webmaster school. I really don't think that the SITE can teach a dog to sit. Not very many people anymore can teach a dog to sit. But anyways being my curious self I went ahead and signed up for the site. This thing was built for buttheads that don't know how to use a computer. Now I don't know what is really considered a "newbie". I personally am part of the new generation that has been ignored. I started using a computer when I was five. I was using DOS version 2.0 when most old fuckers were scared that the demons would eat them if they touched a computer. Now at the age of sixteen I got an E-mail. It said get your own adult site free. It was basically a mirror page for some piece of shit pay site. And I would get %50 of all sales. Now I must tell you that Spam was not illegal at this time. And being the brilliant fucker that I was I spammed EVERYTHING. After two months I got a check in the mail and my mother thought I was dealing drugs or some shit. So I knoed it off until about a year ago. And I am kicking myself for it because I would be the big as shit motherfucker that everone begs for some piece of shit traffic. Now I am twenty years old with a H.S. Degree and don't give a shit whether or not I go to college. I have a full time job that make me 30K a year. And I am still able to average one or two signups a day. Now if that makes me a newbie then oh well I don't give a shit. Oh and if these guys can teach a dog to sit then I am happy for them. But as far as the fundamentals to be any sort of webmaster. I don't think they existed on the site when I took a look. Now I have typed so much that I don't know what you said anymore. I must stress that I am not angry I am just trying to get my God given opinion out to the masses. And you can take my bad spelling and fuck yourself with it. My best subject has always been math, and I think spell checkers are a waste of time. I am done talking |

AWS doesn't do that -- they are totally unbiased and only recommend companies that they have personal experience with. In my opinion, the newbie is *saving* time and money by going with a sponsor that converts, rather than wasting time and money going to one of these other places and using a sponsor that is 1:5,000,000 (and uses CCBill as a billing company, lol). |

Now I have earned the right to give constructive criticism so here it is:: AWS - In their resource section they have a list of some pretty cool programs and other things that well THE FUCKING LINKS WERE BROKEN. They have a page that is for submitting to TGP's. The list is way to incredibly short. And a couple of the links don't work there either. In the section that talks about the TGP's on the list they mention how much traffic each can send. The last time I checked Snakes World would not send 15 million uniques. I can go on and on about shit there but I think it is way to silly. I personally give the site 1 out of 5 stars. Oh and Mr. Brokclanders go jerk off to Boogie Nights some more. |

Let me put that another way: You are criticizing them for something that works, yet you aren't doing nearly as well as half those students there. A little bit of hypocrisy don't you think? BTW, they post to those 30 TGP's you criticize so much. I bet you are one of those pathetic Webmasters that spend their whole day submitting to every TGP on WayCool, only to be stoked when those 900 TGP's send you about 5 uniques combined a year. I am an AWS student and I guess you could consider me a "newbie adult webmaster."
This is not my first trek into the world of web design as I am experienced...just my first attempt at breaking into the adult market I stumbled across the salon.com article about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I had been interested in starting up an adult web site for some time but had a few unanswered questions and it seemed as though the guys at AWS might be able to help. Well help they did. I began to submit my first galleries just a little over a week ago and had my first sale yesterday. Is this an overnight success story? LOL..not yet. However I feel that with their help I do have an advantage over the next guy who decided just 3 weeks ago that he/she wanted to do this as well. My first galleries were okay, but they were good enough to get accepted by Persian Kitty, The Hun AL4A as well as a number of others. I was seeing some serious unique numbers from these sites but in the beginning very few click throughs. I asked for help on the AWS message boards as well as checked out other messages for help and read the advice given to those members and applied it to my galleries. My click throughs increased. Still no conversions. So I tweaked a little bit more, and followed their message boards and learned a couple of more tricks and the click throughs increased until I got my first sale. I have never been so happy or proud of $35.00 in my life...lol. These guys are interested in showing people how to do this with as little investment in time and money as possible but are clear at least in my mind that if you want more success you have to put more effort into it. They have also been helpful in other areas I wasn't even considering. I began hosting my galleries on my own paid host which was a virtual server that limited my bandwidth to 5 gigs a month with a fee of $12.00 per gig after that. I never even considered the amount of traffic that these galleries would pull and because of a warning they posted to another member about his paid hosting I learned about what could have been an extremely costly mistake on my part. So what was the solution after looking for hosting on the net that would be more cost efficient. These guys hooked me up on a deal that would blow your minds. This deal to my knowledge is good only for the members of AWS and you would have to go through the guys there in order to get it. Anyway. There is still alot left to learn and I plan on utilizing every source out there including boards like this one. I got in to this biz year ago when it was easy to the a big check in the end of the month, it's not that easy anymore so dudes that donät have it won't last long .. adult webmaster schools or not.
