need someone to edit photos

The photographer of crowscrypt.com is one of those types that truly enjoy the artistic nature of photography and tries to push the envelope without consideration of money. The good news is he has tons of wonderfully artistically erotic photography, the bad news is he's sitting on tons of CDs.

It's actually pretty funny, when we first started a few months ago a suggestion to have someone else edit the photos was clearly sacrilege, however, realizing he takes 40+ hours for each set, and after a few months, he's become more flexible on the matter. :)

So we are seeing who can edit the photos and at what cost.

One issue I've been having is at 1440x957, which are big pics, they sometimes show that he's been too aggressive and are not that sharp.

I'd like to find a photo editor that can edit these photos to these dimensions, but keep the quality high. Ideally we want them fully web ready without any additional editing needed.

If you are interested in this, we have a couple sample pics we'll like you to edit and show us the results, they are 'tif' files, about 10MB each.

This is batched from an action script in photoshop (20 seconds each). You'd probably want to do a bit of manual retouching on skin blemishes before the conversion to jpg but that's a bit to time consuming for a gfy post. :Graucho

I did this by hand.. if you use a batch command it works on some of the pics but may not on others, also don't like to use too much smoothing on the skin because it makes it look too false

Use stop points :thumbsup

Thanks, looks good. I suppose at one level I don't care how the editing is done (automated vs. manual), but we'd like to keep a high quality level. Pricing.....I was thinking about a single price per pic or something, with some variation if there's a lot of work. How much would you want per pic?

If these pics weren't so good I might think about doing that.. but when something is so close to perfect like these are.. they deserve special handling in my opinion

ok, it took me a bit to see a difference, but I only saw the removal of face blemishes, perhaps there was more.

unfortunately I don't have ICQ, tried it but never stuck to it, email me at [email protected] .

I agree. I just fixed the blemishes and removed some flyaway hair. Great photos.

I will post some side by side small versions. Had makeup (lipstick) corrected, whites of eyes retouched, eye bags or discoloration removed, skin blemishes removed, leg bruise or birth mark removed, and so on.

good work on the re-touching, but still not up to pro magazine quality, even though the photography and model warrants it.

Best retoucher in the biz for volume work and also the best website designer is Mike from: www.wyldesites.com

Thanks, yet spent not nearly enough time on it. Wanted to get a result in here before the thread went to deep.

Understand :) most of the fixes could have been done in makeup before the shoot, but retouching is very time consuming...we know, after a million pics, with some to major mags, we still go to photoshop for every image, even internet members area stuff.

Cost more, but well worth the $$$ and time

Hi,

Sorry I didn't see this post earlier....

crowscrypt_Metal-Corset.tif
crowscrypt_moscow.tif

Take a look let me know what you think.

You can view past clients I have done work for in the past here:

http://www.adulttouchups.com/

I can do these pics for .80 per photo.

thanks

Looking back on the post....

If all of the sets are of the same model I can cut a deal.

When multiple persons, tattoo removals, and bad skin complextion starts to become a factor then it takes more time, because it's hard to establish a consistent work flow.

Anyways let me know....

If you're having to edit gallery after gallery, it would be ridiculous to do each one by hand. Batch process....Actions, Actions, Actions...alter certain steps if you need but I can't imagine if I had to to edit each gallery for all my sites weekly 1 image at a time ...ugh !

:2 cents:

did I say I didn't know how to write an action script? I think someone needs to take a course in paying attention

what I said was that I didn't like to use actions because every picture is different.. there's no way you could get optilmal results doing it with actions.. the only time I use actions is when I am not too picky about the results

Photo retouching is an art gwilkins, it's not something you use a batch process with

Interesting...

Not only do you have the indecorum to come into a thread and flame a perceived competitor but you obviously don't know the basics of producing the product being asked for...

Let me return the favor,

If you need your images resized by someone that hasn't mastered "Photoshop For Dummies" then look to graphicsbytia. :thumbsup

powerbubba 09-26-2004 03:34 PM

These are some great submissions!

Can I ask for pricing info? I could do so individually but this would be a great chance for others to advertise.

spankstrocko 09-26-2004 04:31 PM

I would like to know prices as well.

Pricing for me would be based on estimated total volume per order and the time you need the order to be completed by. Preferably in batches of 50 to 100 minimum.
The more batches ordered at one time the cheaper I would go.
Editing prices should not be more than 5.00 per quality photo. Prices can go as low as .25 per quality photo with volume orders.
Above does not include any scanning, delivery, shipping insurance, or media charges.

Let me correct you on here.. you were the first to say something. You tried to tell me to use stop points, up until that I was not even talking to you. So I'd say the indecorum was on your part my friend.

This is the last reply I'm going to make to you in this thread, my work speaks for itself.. and so does yours

Nice work. Where can you get a script for minor touch up stuff?

harvey 09-26-2004 08:43 PM

http://www.fdsign.com/retouch/test1.jpg
Something like this? I made it halfway between glamour and amateur, keeping skin yet softening bad areas, removing and adding here and there. Of course it depends on what you need, this halfway is quite time consuming to do, but this kind of work requires to know what the client needs :)

LOL, that's a bit like the 'blind leading the blind' isn't it....

BTW, Scripts aren't made from actions. Haven't you been reading your book?
