Do you use coupons ever?
MY g/f made a comment last night to me that really made me think. SHe goes Derek is your ego that fragile that you dont ever look or use coupons when shopping.
And to my amazment I don't. I told her it was a male thing she didint get it. Do you use coupons? |
All the time. I also will shop more than one store for the best deals.
|
coupons can save money if it's used properly... you have a gf? pix please
|
Yes - Ain't no shame to my game. It's foolish not too.
Yesterday had to renew a domain with Dotster. It was $14.95, but had an area that said "Redeem coupon". So I did a "Dotster coupon" search on google, and saved $5 for a six second find. |
when you say gf....you mean bf right?

OK so who gives a fuck then. Ok I just never thought of it. I always thought coupons were a way to encourage you to buy products you dotn really need thiking that you are saving money.

Oh and I often end up with free products thanks to coupons, instant rebates, and factory rebates. At times I actually ended up ahead, recently on a jewl case purchase I used a coupon, an instore rebate, and the factory mail in rebate. I will be getting a check for 32.00 and my out of pocket was 12.00 |
OK where does a Fella find coupons?

Just stay organized with them, arranged by product and expiration date. Oh you can also join up with a coupon service, they send you 1000's in savings each month on the brands you pick. Just be prepared for some junk mail and free samples of stuff all the time. |
I use it sometimes...
|
I use them every once in a while. Just matters how often I buy the product.
|
I love the grocery store card, I always save $15 just by using the card they give you and you dont need any coupons.
|
Only when I buy condoms

Main store I use (raleys) does not have a card system in place. Now both competing grocery stores do (safeway and holiday). Safeway is notorius for its buy one get one free members discounts, 50% off basicly. Problem is non members price for an item is often about a lil more than double what raleys charges every day. So even with the 50% discount and getting two items, you paid more per unit than if you would have shopped at raleys. Its a screwed up percieved discount system. You end up with more than you need, it also cost more, and you freely gave the store very valuable targeted marketing data. |
i got a coupon for a free meal for my birthday at tony romas the other day

I'm prudent with my purchases. I don't go looking for coupons, but if I get some in the mail like for Office Depot specials or at a store I go to regularly I'll use them.
I always looks for sales and discounted goods. It comes from my years in the apparel biz I guess where everybody wheels and deals. On large purchases even if its not on sale, I ask for and usually all will get a price drop. I hate paying retail for anything. |

In the time it would take me to sort through coupons, I could probably make more money working. That's the way I look at it.
|
I never bothered with coupons until we had a baby and I found out how much forumla costs.
|
Sure if it is a good deal
like we use alot of bread and bread is like 1.99$ a loaf ... today the paper had a coupon for 5 for 1$ ... i used it :) If it saves me a couple bucks |
I use $2.00 off coupons for dinner when I'm on a date, and then stiff the waitress and tell my date how much money we saved.
|
For all you tight wads:
Cheap Stingy Bastard |
I do use coupons sometimes
|
I never really used coupons, I figure why go threw all the trouble just to save a few cents? When I go out to shop, I just grab the things I need . I do however take advantage of seasonal sales and things of that nature.
|
I use coupons all the time i have a 16 month old and a 6 month old and between the diapers, Milk, Formula, and bottled water I save a good $100 a month...
|
Coupons save me money. Money is good. Therefore coupons are good.
|
We have this thing here called the "Entertainment Book" that has thousands of coupons for many of the finest and low-end restaurants in town, and I take my mom out every Wednesday for lunch at a different restaurant with the 2-for-1 offers and it is a great way to test out all sorts of different ethnic foods...and save a bundle,

my girl uses her student ID to get a free small drink and fries at hardees great deal |
If it's something I use all the time, sure. Other wise I don't
bother since they'll just sit around until long after they expire. I also hit the "bargin meat bin" before looking at the rest if I know for sure that I'm going to cook that day. |
I'm not a coupon hound but if I have it I will use it, why the fuck not, money in your pocket..
|

Yea, I've used them.. last time was at Acapulco's restaurant, if you buy a meal for $9.99 you get the second one free. I think I gave the coupon to my friend because she was broke, but I was the one who clipped the coupon...
