Who plays fantasy football or follows football? Advice needed!
Ok in my fantasy league I have Chad Pennington as my starting QB, but he's on a bye week this week. I need to find a QB to play this week, here are my options.
Ben Roethliseberger QB for Pittsburgh vs. Miami A J Feeley QB for Miami vs Pittsburgh Drew Brees QB for San Diego vs Denver Rex Grossman QB for Chicago vs Minnesota Kurt Warner QB for NY Giants vs Browns Those are my options. Who would you go with? Help me out here |
Grossman

Tough call |
do it he will break out

Warner is coming off a win and he had great protection in the pocket last week. There's your lock.
|
I'd go with Warner.

The browns have a tough defense though. Warner had a decent week but did not put up good fantasy numbers. 200 yards passing and one td is not very good.
Right now I have Ben from the Steelers, he tossed 2 td's in one half of play, had 172 yards against a hard ravens defense. He's now playing miami which has a good defensive team, but also has no offense, which means he will get a lot of chances |
I subscribe to a FF news site and out of all the QB's you mention they give grossman the best marks for the matchup.
Chicago's Passing Attack vs. The Minnesota Defense (Great Matchup) Chicago shocked the Packers in Lambeau Field last week, and gave them a solid beating. However, Rex Grossman was fairly quiet, contributing a modest 10/18 for 132 yards, 1 TD and 1 interception on the day. The most remarkable thing about the passing game was the disappearance of David Terrell for the afternoon - he saw the grand total of 1 ball come his way. That doesn't make his owners very happy, folks. After two weeks of NFL action, Grossman is the 27th fantasy QB in the land, averaging 10.9 fantasy points per game. Minnesota is dead last in the NFL after two weeks of action, allowing an average of 289 passing yards per game and 3 TDs to date. McNabb had 245 yards and 2 TDs against them in the Monday night victory, most recently. The Vikings are not playing well in this phase of the game, despite the assemblage of talent among their DB's. Both teams enjoy decent health coming into the game. This game is to be played in the Metrodome, so weather won't be a factor. Grossman is turning in workmanlike outings lately and we have a hard time recommending him, but there is no denying that this is a great matchup for him and his young cadre of receivers. |

I would go Warner too

I don't know what to do, this is a tough matchup
Here is my team QB? RB Quentin Griffen Broncos RB Lamar Gordon Dolphins WR Reggie Wayne Colts WR Issac Bruce Rams TE Erron Kinney Titans K Jeff Wilkins Rams His team QB Matt Hasselback Seahawks RB Jamal Lewis Ravens RB Moe Williams Vickings WR Andre Joshson Texans WR Jerry Porter Raiders TE Bubba Franks Packers K Morten Anderson Cheifs So I need a decent production from my QB |
Warner had a decent game last week and will thrive under offense-minded Coughlin.
|
Advice still needed!
|
I'd say take Warner. Your team looks a bit out matched. You'll really need a big game out of who ever you go with.

He's got better players for this matchup and better matchups for his players. |

You really have shit for choices listed here, but of the options I put money on Warner. He's still getting adjusted, but he's got the most talent/experience and is facing the weakest D. I've been wrong several times though. :winkwink: |

I'd also look into replacing Lamar Gordon with whomever is available in a hurry.....its going to be a looooooong season for the Dolphins offense :( |

I don't think I am mismatched actually. Jerry Porter and Andre Johnson have done nothing this year, neither has had 100 yard game or TD. Issac Bruce is racking up the points this year since Holt has the double teams, and Reggie Wayne the same since Harrison get's them as well. Bruce has had two good games putting up a TD and big yards and catches both games, and Wayne had 7 catches for 113 yards and a TD last week. I don't think I am miss matched there. TE Erron Kinney caught six passes for 45 yards in Sunday's loss to Indianapolis While Franks had 1 catch for nine yards. Kicker I have Wilkins with an offense that moves the ball, he has Anderson with an old foot and no distance on his kicks. RB, ok he has Lewis, but Lewis has yet to have a 100 yard game. He has no QB or recievers, so they stack up against him. And then Moe Williams who will spilt carries with Bennett and Smith I have Griffen with Denver who is facing a joke of a defense in SD. I think my match up is good. Except at QB |
Kurt Warner.
Although it is possible the Ben Rothlisbergr may do ok. |
