No. Paypal says that all emails sent to you will be addressed to you by name...not "Dear Member" or something like that.

Also, they recommend when you get emails like that, you go directly to the Paypal site without clicking on a link. That way you KNOW you are signed into the real paypal.

I am a member of paypal and I didn't get that email so I assume it is just another Paypal scammer

Exactly. Paypal says if they need anything, it will prompt you for the information when you log into your account. If there is no prompt, then don't worry about it.
Paypal does not need to verify crap. I have used them for years and the most they have done is occasionally when I log in it will ask me to verify information. The information is already there...it doesn't ask me to input.
I get at least 20 Paypal scam emails a week

Project-Shadow 09-23-2004 05:53 AM

Any paypal e-mail asks you to login to your account, they do not provide a link for it. That is proof enough that it's a scam e-mail.

Yes its fine. Its definatly them. After you eneter all your details, could you please email them to me too, as thats part of the process, plus any credit card details you have to would be great :thumbsup

First time you got this? I got my first one like 3 years ago.

Spunky 09-23-2004 06:27 AM

I don't see any problem with it

Rich 09-23-2004 06:29 AM

If paypal needs anything from you it will say so when you log in to your account. Never click any links you get in an email that looks like it's from paypal.
