I'm just wondering if anyone has been successful in "registering" their game through the "EA Games Registration" that installs with the game.

Yes, yes I do and yes my work rate is suffering a bit. Thank god for having two computers at this desk.

Played a bit of the first one when it came out, didn't interest me much... so no.

Bought the PC version for my girl (she's addicted to building Sim houses). She registered without any major hassles aside from the usual 'cant get your username on the first 5 tries' bullshit.

I mean the registration via the software where you put in your CD key. Is this what you are referring to?

can't register too...it says that my info are incomplete....and it is not !

i was sucessful in registering but it took a couple attempts. Also, I have to use the UK message board and exchanges for some reason..stupid.

I have it and I had no problems registering. I had to go thru hell registering at their site, but I had no problems registering the game.

I LOVE my Sims games and this one is great. I have been playing Sims since the very first Sim City came out.. and I hate to say, I get hooked on this damn thing so easily. I have to shut the laptop completely down to get any work done. lol

I dunno. I did see her type in the serial key from the backl of the CD jewel case, so I am guessing she got thru all that without a hitch. She's been playing it for 3 days now.

Oy. My friend Heather got it and I want it now. All kinds of new goodies to play with, and dammit! I need a good game for long flights.

I registered mine without any problem. I got mine the day it came out though.

So did I, I had been saving the money for weeks, not touching it, waiting for this damn thing. I was at the Wal Mart store here at 1 AM when they pulled it from the back, to get mine. Good damn thing I did too, they were damn near sold out the next day when I was there. YIKES!! LOL

This game is cracking me the hell up...... some of the shit they are having these Sims doing is funny as shit. Kids playing in the toilet, bunnies dropping from the sky to raise social skills....... mom has a baby and sits in the floor acting like a complete basket case and a Psychiatrist dropping out of the sky to give them much needed psychiatric help..... funny shit. LMAO

I haven't had the sky bunny yet but every time the toddler foes tnear the toilet I hear myself go 'no honey, no' So sad.

or do you just make characters and then they live on their own?

They need a game where you walk around and do what you want.

well let me put it this way - my one female character had a one night stand with a married guy whilst she was engaged to someone else and got pregnant with twins. That was after she spent some time going through a series of live in lesbian lovers.

So far, the best part is being able to "design" the faces. Exciting and kinda creepy, trying to recreate people you know from the real world -- and then making them have sex with each other.

The character building options on this are so vast that I spent the better part of an hour designing my first one. It is fun to see the traits of that one go down the generations.

So far my most bizzare moment was when my old lady came downstairs in her underwear and started giving herself a spongebath from the kitchen sink. Her teenage daughter looked on and cried. lol

You've got to have nude skins to play this game. :thumbsup

Is this version like the online version where u play everyone online?

oh man...just as I was typing this my original sim died of old age..her husband took one look at the grim reaper and dropped dead too!

well, yes and no. They are all The Sims btu Sims 2 is its own game in itsself with much better graphics and essentially the abilty to be born, grow up and die and various stages in between.

I'm shocked that one of my Sims wants to have sex with 3 different sims in the bathtub. :1orglaugh

And btw, have you seen your sims farting? lol

Yes and they do it more if they make chilli for lunch. If there is another playful Sim around they will giggle and point. Try having one of them play in the bathtub and see then pretend to be pirates. Lots of really cute little touches.
