Is it better not to eat breakfast or not to eat dinner?
The topic says it all :)
|
Assuming you are more active during the day than
the night, breakfast is the more important meal. |
I haven't regularly eaten breakfast since I was about 10. Good reason behind that though, genetically we aren't used to eating our first meal of the day till about midday or after. This is because our forefathers had to first go out and hunt their meal, or pick their food before eating it. Could be a load of shit, but saw it on the discovery channel once.

Skip the breakfast and eat dinner that way. Lotsa people do that any ways.

They say breakfast is the most important meal especially if you are trying to lose or maintain weight. It gets your metabolism revved up for the day

Eating small healthy portions throughout the day, like every 3-4 hours is the best way to go. Helps you get into shape and loose weight the right way.
One big meal a day won't keep you healthy. |
breakfast has to be the most important meal of the day :glugglug
|
breakfast :thumbsup

I worked in health and nutrition for about four in a half years and they always said......Its healthy to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between. For some reason I only like sweet stuff in the morning. I eat Oreo cookies and milk for about 10 years every single morning :(
Thats wrong!! |
Breakfast is the most important.

Breakfast is important because your body has been sleeping repairing itself and still burning some calories. When you wake up your body needs nurishment to replenish itself and to get your metabolism going then it's best to eat every three hours keeping your meals small and consuming 4-5 meals a day
|
It is better for your metabolism to eat 6 small meals a day. When you limit yourself to only one or two meals a day, your body holds on to every little bit of fat it receives, causing you to gain more weight. Your body thinks it's starving, so it retains more fat and water. By eating smaller portions more frequently and drinking plenty of water during the day, your metabolism is regular and steady and is able to work efficiently.
When you skip breakfast and eat only lunch and dinner, your body holds onto the fatty parts of those meals... If you eat Breakfast and Lunch, you at least have the rest of the day to work off some of the calories. If you eat dinner as one of your only two meals, you end up sleeping on that meal's fat and you don't burn any off... :2 cents: |

Whoa.......Very well put :thumbsup |
you can skip dinner coz our metabolism is kind of slow during night or everytime our body is idle... but its a big no no to skip breakfast

it's better if you don't eat dinner, because breakfast is the basic meal of the day:thumbsup
|
Dinner. But if you do eat dinner late... walk it off.

I love to eat and can't decide:)

dinner

If you don't eat at least something small for breakfast, you run the risk of making poor food choices later in the day. Your blood sugar levels get too low and your body will crave something high in carbs or sugar for the quick boost. By eating 5-6 small meals at regular intervals throughout the day you keep your blood sugar levels normal and you never feel overly starving.
Also, when you don't eat regular meals, your body is more likely to store the calories as fat reserves because it doesn't know when it's getting it's next fuel. :2 cents: |
