STATS REMOTE! Can I have It Running On Multiple Computers?

I just recently purchased stats remote, I'm a newbie to it. Can I have it running on my laptop, my desktop and also on another dektop??

Its gonna be for the same sponsor list on all three computers.

I don't want to buy one copy and use it for different lists and such.

I think it's the same as with every other software. One license per computer.

You can just not at the same time as far as i know.

They should allow 2 (1 PC + 1 Laptop) I wouldn't want to pay 2 fees for that. :2 cents:

Mail them about it, maybe they'll allow it.

Yeah for sure, I'll mail them later, see if they'll allow me to do it :)

I asked some while ago, and you can run it on different PCs, you just can't run it more than once at the same time. (It tracks the login/password via the Internet I guess). You can install SR on your laptop, and backup config files from your desktop SR to your laptop's SR directory. Handy when you're out of town for a few days, though not as handy if you want up-to-date SR stats in two places at once. For that it seems fairly reasonable to have to subscribe twice.

arg is correct :)

StatsRemote may either be used by a single person who uses the software personally on one or more computers, or installed on a single workstation used non-simultaneously by multiple people, but not both. This is not a concurrent use license.

If you want to run it on more than one computer at the same, we offer multi-licenses with discounts. If you're interested please contact us... support AT statsremote DOT com

They keep a close eye on it too...so don't cheat LOL. I have it installed on my desktop and laptop....so if it is running on my laptop and i forget to pause it and check stats on my desktop they send me an email.

I try so hard not to mess up, but occasionally I just forget to hit pause. Drives me nutty.

The problem is that many of our members try to share their login info with their friends and partners. We had cases when more than ten different people from different countries were using the same username.

I am glad to see I am not the only one who fucks up can gets that email sometimes... I have it on my daytime work PC and my home PC and my laptop.. I have the best intentions not to use it on more then one but sometimes I forget to shut it down on one before I either go home or go out... I get that email and I spank myself! :(

That's a fair policy :thumbsup

I hate companies that won't let the same user install
software on both their desktop and laptop.

I write them back "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" I mean it is becoming a paranoia of mine always checking to make sure it is paused.

I can perfectly understand their point of view though and I am sure that there has been many instances where a ton of people have used the same account.

J B 09-23-2004 07:20 AM

RevSand and wyldblyss... it's an automated process. If it's only you using StatsRemote on two machines at the same time once in a while there's nothing to worry about :)

We only take action if people actually share their account with others and/or run it on more than one machine all the time.

Once there is a mind-reading device we will implement an auto-pause-when-you-leave feature :winkwink:

After 20 minutes of what? Many people have StatsRemote in the system tray and just restore the window when they want to see their stats, so the software is kind of inactive most of the time (except for checking stats).
