Do homeless people really live in cardboard boxes?

Is this true? Aren't there more efficient things to live in instead of cardboard? I mean, people throw away furnature, crates, plywood. If I was homeless I'd get creative and have all the hot homeless babes at my pad for some maddog.

Isn't the term "Homeless" and abstract idea? They're really houseless. Wherever you are is home. However, a house is what these people really need. Under a bridge is home. A 3 bedroom with 1 1/2 bath is a house.

There are lots of reasons: the break-up of a marriage or relationship; the loss of a job leading to the repossession of a home or inability to pay the rent; an addiction or abuse of drugs, either prescribed or illegal; alcohol or even gambling.

People may become homeless because of a mental illness, although as with drug or alcohol abuse, some people become unwell or develop a problem because they have become homeless. People who have served in the armed forces often find it impossible to cope with civilian life. Others may be running away from an abusive relationship.

It could happen to any one of us.

(and the ibill thing, that could make you homeless too)

Of course. There are streets in Los Angeles, where at night, homeless people sleep next to each other in cardboard boxes and cover the entire sidewalk for 1 to 2 blocks.

I seen one in Toronto that had his own one-man tent. He was a big baller. He even had a change of socks, because he crawled out of his tent and changed his socks right in front of traffic.

I think he was trying to show off in front of the other homeless people.
