I hired a designer 2 months ago....
 

payed him $150 to make 5 gallery designs, I hired him before and he did a good job. Anyway he made 5 gallery designs which i was not satisfied with, i asked him to change a few stuff and he said that he will do that (he wasn't satisfied but who gives a shit, I payed him and I want to be satisfied.) anyway its 2 months later and he never gave me the new galleries, I tried to icq him a several times but he didn't do shit...what should I do?

What details do you have for him - where is he located?

There are a lot of good guys out there who will give you great service and take responsibility for the work they do and put it right if you?re not satisfied.

but you should tell the guy to get a hold of you and then if all else fails post his name here asking for your money that is usuallly quite effective it appears

maybe someone here knows him and will bring him here to solve the problem? man it's your money, do whatever you want. i just tried to help.

For $150 I would be happy you got anything decent

I dont know how good the designer is or what you asked him to do. and what you both EXACTLY agreed to . 150 is fuckin peenutz for design, especially five of them.

I don't know what crack you guys are smoking but galleries go anywhere from $25-40 these days. The guy I buy from charges me $25 per.

Paying $150 for 5 gallery templates is pretty par for the course.

I just finished a couple galleries that i really liked but the client didn't. I'm trying to go in a completely different direction with my next attempt to make them happy.

Some people just can't take criticism.

You know... I hired 2 designers:

1. AJ Hall - I paid too much $$$ upfront & he gave me an unfinished affiliate program sans content, that doesn't work, that I had to hire 2 people to fix and he wanted me to pay (upfront) to fix it all, I did, and he never fixed the fucking work 1 month after the deadline, and I'm fucked. ASSHOLE!!!

2. SKROG - gave me a KILLER design, @ a great price, stayed on to fix anything I wanted till I was satisfied 100% and I hired him to build 6 more sites, galleries, templates, banners, thumbnails, and 3 more months solid worth of work. skrog at skrog dot net or ICQ - 201668633 - see his new design here: www.povporn.com/welcome.html

An affiliate program without content is like a candy bar with only a wrapper. Not anything like the affiliate programs that were on his portfolio nor what we discussed ahead of time. Then he wanted to charge me to finish it when I wasn't satisfied & bailed when I complained about it not being finished. That I'm pissed is a huge understatement.
