how long do your monitors last? it seems im replacing monitors every two years. how about you?

My last monitor lasted 7 years, then I sold it. Perfectly working. I've had this for 2 and no plans of getting another one.

2 years and still going strong.

I bought my 1 year ago and I expect to have it for another 5 years... :2 cents:

well I never had a monitor that broke down on me. But I tend to buy a new one ever 3 years.

Monitors of all types should last more than 2 years.

What have you been buying?

my bad. i guess its 3 to 4 years. and the monitors are compaq brand. ive had 2 go this year. bought in 2000 and 2001.

I have had my monitor for about 3 years and it still works good.:winkwink:

i have had this dell 19" for 5 years. i am thinking of getting a daewoo lcd. sick of this piece of crap.

it gets boring after 2 or 3 year

We bought our 4 LCDs all at the same time...around 3 years ago. They're all working fine.

Do you really change a good monitor because you are bored with its look?

what kind of monitor do you have? TFT?

my mitsubishi is going on 5 or so years.

My oldest color monitor is 4 years but I have an old ass monicrome one that still works must be 10 years old.

i had a gateway ev900 that lasted 5 years. im now using the ev910 for the last two years with no problems. but i bought some compaqs for my reviewers and they dont seem to last as long. was just wondering what the average life span should be.

stop buying shit monitors. i've had two in over 6 years. first was a compaq which is still going strong and now an ibm

My 21" Sony Trinitron has been used for more than 10,000 hours and still works. Its a miracle. I will defenitely buy another Trinitron when this one dies.

changing to Flatscreen pretty soon :)

I've only had one monitor fry on me, but it was a very old 15" years ago...had it for like 3-4 years before it bit it...

Had mine for over 3 now. 19" Viewsonic
