Search Engine Placement - How Much?

This is my first post.
I run a Gay site and I want a top placement for my keywords:
gay sex
gay porn
gay sex pictures
gay porn pictures
and a lot of other gay related keywords in GOOGLE/ALTAVISTA

Normally what do you guys charge if you do a search engine optimization for these keywords?
I enquired a lot of other services, but their rates are much higher than I expected.

I can pay you if you give me a cheap price for this placement service.

You can do it yourself if you want - there is a lot of software packages like traffic seeker pro, etc...

And then you can also buy placment from places like google - but they have been getting less reliable.
