Breast implant question (for the girls)
 

I have a question for any girls out there that might know anything about Silicone Gel implants.

I got my implants done about 3 years ago and they are now starting to bother me. I am getting shooting pains and they feel weird so I am not sure if they are getting bad. My doctor retired pretty shortly after I got mine done and I was supposed to be part of some research study that was allowed to still use the Silicone gel rather then Saline. I didn't really have a problem with that knowing if any problems came up I could get them taken right out. Of course now he is gone I am not sure if anyone has heard of any of their doctors doing this research using Saline gel. I remember there were supposed to be a few doctors doing this but I just don't know how to find any of them. I can't really afford right now to get them replaced and any other doctor will tell me to take them right out I think.
I am hoping if I can find someone who is doing this I can get in to see someone that has been following the research and know what is going on with them.

If anybody has any answers or suggestions for me please let me know I am not sure what to do and I am really nervous with how bad they are starting to feel.

if i remember correctly the fda banned silicone gel from being used in implants because they werent proven to be safe in the long run. You may want to see a surgeon before something happens. He could give you more answers than any of us could.

Yes hydro the FDA was supposed to have banned them but there was a small group of doctors that was working with them still for a study. I guess my doctor was one of the orginal doctors who started doing implants along time ago which is probably why he is now retired and I can't find any information on what other doctors my have been part of it and any of the studies. I would just like to go to one of them becuase they would have a bit more knowledge of what might be wrong and maybe they are taking them all out now or something. I was just hoping someone in here would have heard of this a couple years ago and know where I can go.
